    4 of 5 Great sound! Wednesday, November 01, 2006

    These speakers perform very well. No power is needed to get good sound. But once they are turned on they are pretty loud for just 4 AA batteries. The only thing I found wrong was the battery cover would not go back on with the batteries installed. It is a plastic cover so I used a knife and made it fit. I haven't been able to tell a difference in sound with the tubes extended. I am very pleased and would recommend these speakers for portable use!
