I was in the market for my first CB and this particular unit was highly recommended on a message board I frequent. Simple install, just the right features and easy to use. My main use is for keeping in communications with other drivers when we are out 4-wheeling. So, I can't speak for range, but for my use it is perfect. And I happen to catch it at the right time and got a great deal on it here.
