I am not good about backing up my work and I needed an automatic system. I had previously purchased a One Touch box and it backed up everything taking longer than I wished. The CMS only backs up what has been changed since the last backup and it takes about 4 or 5 minutes. I have it set to backup each day at 4 AM so when I come down each morning I see that the backup is done. Setup was easy. I am well pleased. Was this review helpful?

I liked how simple it was to back up my entire system. Just plug it in and it installs the program, and the backup is pretty quick. It gives me peace of mind, I can install programs on my computer and give it a test drive knowing that if something goes wrong, my CMS back up drive is ready to save my butt!
I liked this so much that a bought a 2nd one for our business machine. I'm very happy with this product.
The only disappointment I had was that the USB port hookup couldn't power the drive on my laptop nor on my desktop machine. I had to use the electrical cord to power each one. But the cords for USB and fire wire and power cord are all included in the box, so I didn't have to go out and buy anything. I don't know if the fire wire would power it, I don't have that hookup on either machine. I would have rated this product perfect if it were powered 100% via the USB as indicated/insinuated on the ad. Was this review helpful?

I never used to backup, until I experienced a complete hard disk crash, losing many precious digital music demos. You could say I learned the hard way. I'm not very experienced with computers, so finding a product as simple as this was a great discovery. The ABS does a backup of my hard drive automatically when connected to my computer. I don't have to do anything except plug it in and it backs everything up. What's interesting about this product is the way the manufacturer has solved the dilemma of restoring data in the event of a total crash or corrupted file. The software makes a bootable backup so, if I have a problem I can simply take the drive from the ABS and place it in my computer and be up and running in minutes. You can also restore files one at a time from the backup drive if you mess up. I also use the ABS for additional storage and transferring files to and from other computers, and it is super fast USB 2. I highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a truly simple and effective backup unit. Was this review helpful?
