ClipArt & More 3.5 Million - CAM3.5MBX01 - 3.5 MILLION ways to express yourself!

I will agree that the material included in the box of this product is neither the best clip art nor the most easily used. The free year's membership to Clipart.com, however, is worth a hundred times over what you'll pay for this product (even without the rebates). I have used Clipart.com for years for school yearbook and newspaper production, as well as assignments in my classes. All I have to do is enter what I'm looking for in the search field and they come up with hundreds of pieces of color clip art, B&W clipart, photographs -- almost anything you could possibly need. You can click a box that allows you to see all the clip art in a given collection, if you're particulary impressed with one image from that collection, or you can request additional images by color scheme, if that's your thing. You can even limit the search to a specific type of image -- color clip art only, for example. At the same site, where a year's membership costs $169.95 (and you get it for the cost of this software), you can downloat a ton of great fonts, sounds, photographs -- almost more material than you could ever use. If you're looking for "slick and stylish" clipart and photographs -- something catchy, modern and seldom seen -- this may not be the resource you need. BUT, given that you're getting a free full-year's membership, I think it's well worth what I have to pay for the product.

I wish I could rate this a zero! I did not want a year's subscription to a service. I did not want to have to even consider updating. I wanted a CD with some decent clipart I could use, or embellish, or change for my uses. I did not get what I wanted. I have not yet received my rebate, so I feel like I was completely ripped off. Once my rebate gets here, I'll still feel ripped off, but at least it will only have cost me a couple of stamps and some time.

Don't buy this, even if you get it for free. It's actually a yearly subscription. If you like it (which I doubt) you would have to pay at the end of the year. The clip art is ancient, and depending on what you are looking for, worthless. I tried to get some smiley faces for a flyer, and the stuff they had really stank (not to mention out of over 6 million objects--their claim--there was only about half a dozen smileys and all but one was garbage). I would suggest you look online for what you want. It may take more time, but it would be worth it. I have never been so disappointed on a purchase I have made.

I thought I was ordering multiple CDs with images. Instead I got access to a web-site (for one-year only). The images do not appear to be cataloged well. Only saving grace is I didn't spend anything because of the rebates!

I was terribly disappointed in this product - I found exactly 0 images that will augment my collection for use in an elementary school setting. I admit that I am looking for very specific images (kids reading, studying, writing, doing math, etc.), but you would think that I would find something useful. But no. Perhaps, the webmaster at the school can use some of the thousands of things for websites. With the rebates it will only cost me a couple of stamps - but all in all, I would rather have my stamps back.

Unless you get it for free after rebate, it does not worth more than $10. Clip arts are low in resolution, even for web posting.

What the ads don't tell you is that when you purchase this item you are only getting 1 year's access to the art. The disc supplied has less than 50k items on it. For the balance, you need to go online (so when you need artwork, you HAVE to be "connected"), and that the online access you're given is only for 1 year. Then, guess what? - you PAY AGAIN! In other words, make sure you buy only with a rebate!

It was free after rebates for me and I still would not recommend it. THE WORST Clipart collection I've ever seen. The stock photos are pictures taken of other pictures on a wall!

I got this item free after two rebates, and so in all I was only out 82 cents, but frankly I paid too much for it. The clipart has no tags, so it has no search feature, and all the filenames are a generic with letters and numbers. Additionally, you cannot simply install all the pictures outright on your computer drive, and so they must be slowly searched for, which means if your using a laptop you should kiss your battery life bye-bye as your DVD-Rom drive is constantly running. Lasty, if you do not have a DVD-Rom drive you cannot even use the program, which mreans its useless for my home computer.

You get a "free" year subscription to ICLIPART.COM where the graphics are better then what are on the CD. I'm not even bothering with the CD graphics. The reason I purchased this software was because the two rebates made the cost small and worth the try. I find the online ICLIPART.com graphics a welcome addition for new ideas. Without the rebate it is not worth the purchase.

I imagined it would be like Microsoft clipart, where all you have to do is do a word search for, say "apple", and it would return all images with apples in it. But this clipart has no tags, so there is no searchability feature. Even the filenames are a generic combination of letters and numbers. I think a better choice would be to get all your clipart from Microsoft's clipart website, where you just search what you want, add to your cart, and download for free. The only benefit of this would be if you didn't have internet and had hours to search through images, which are only categorized into folders, which aren't that helpful.

I waited to publish a monthly newsletter hoping to incorporate some holiday graphics. I didn't find any and the graphics that I saw were of poor quality that I would not consider including in a newsletter.

I thought I was going to be able to use some of this images but the software is completely useless! I'm graphic designer and I don't see anything I can use from here. The pictures are not really pictures, they are old style illustrations that nobody use those days. I couldn't even find the fonts. Free but you still need to pay for shipping and deal with disappointment.

I have to agree with the other reviewers. These images are worthless, and the online stock is not much else either. It is a hassle to download, and you actually have to download images, fonts, or anything else on a one by one basis (even if you use the "cart"). I would not recommend you pay for this, even if you do get your money back.

No wonder they are giving this away for free, I am a graphic artist and I am always looking for good photos and clipart. When I stumbled upon this and it was free I said why not. Dont waste your time there is very little that I could use.

PLEASE NOTE!!!! YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BUY THIS THROUGH BUY.COM TO SUBSCRIBE TO THIS - you can obtain this product completely online. What you will miss out on if you order online: 1) The rebates 2) The complete disappointment discovering that it is not what you thought when it arrives. Read the tiny print on the box and in the product summary - you do NOT get the 3.5 million images right out of the box. You have to use the online subscription. Who has the time or usage needs to obtain ALL 3.5 millions clip art in one year's time? Even if you are determined to do so, likely the license agreement disallows you from storing them on your own backup media for future use. No idea, and I do not care. This is deceptive advertising if you ask me. It's the product that keeps on taking and taking IF you like paying year after year for goofy graphics. And the clipart are mostly goofy cartoon-like images - and there are some - illustrated right on the box - that are a full page of the same graphic in about 40 different color combinations - sounds like artificial feature bloat to me. Anyone with ANY respectable graphics program - even Paint - could color those simple (I am not exaggerating the simple nature of what i saw - a circle enclosed in a rectangle) shape graphics different colors and claim they have MILLIONS of graphics. Complete waste of money and time - we had originally thought, with rebates - hey! great deal - after rebates and free shipping, this will be free!! It will end up costing us if we return it.

This IMSI product is junk, nearly free junk. I wasted a few minutes of my time and a bit of $$. Take heed and don't waste yours. If I could rate it a 0 I would.

If IMSI was being straight up with you, you'd know you were buying a 1-year subscription to their clip art Web site and that you were NOT going to receive the 3.5 Million art files, photos, and fonts on the DVD disc you receive in the mail. I am a Mac user, and here's what I see when I view the disc with the viewer that comes with the software... 1,500 vector graphics; 2,987 raster images (that they call photos); 4,207 sounds; and 27,479 animated GIFs. There are NO FONTS on the disc. None of the art files are labelled, so you can't search for anything... you have to physically browse the files to find anything. I don't know how to describe the experience of rifling through these so called "web graphics". These people should be sued for misleading advertising. They claim to say that the box tells you that you must use the web site subscription to get the art that is claimed on the box. What do YOU think? I'll never buy another IMSI product.

A big disappointment. The box said there were photos included in the clipart. If those are photos I'm Lady Godiva. The online clipart is the only thing of value.

Why didn't I read the reviews, could have saved myself some annoyance. I even resent the stamps for the rebate. -- What a ripoff, you only get images with "subscription" for one year. This is totally false advertising on CD. The images on line are mediocre at best, and VERRRY cumbersome to download: you have to get them one by one, not even a "batch" download: 8 clicks per image, 4 to get them to download, then 4 to get back to your picture "basket". Very time consuming. I guess they want to discourage the user from keeping them on the computer. Lesson learned: ALWAYS read the reviews!!! -- otherwise, it got shipped with the usual buy.com speed.

If you're looking for a CD chock-full of images, keep going. If you want a free 1-year access to online images, it'll probably be OK.

Sorry I took the chance. The disk has 43,000 bad images only. The rest they will send you, one at a time, I guess, if you subscribe. Again...What crap. Now I have to spend money ($1.00 for rebates). What a waste of time.

I'm posting this because another reviewer gave this collection only one star, which is ridiculous. This package gives you a full one-year access to the Clipart.com website, normally costing about $150 or so. At that website, you can find virtually any kind of image you want: gif animations, photos, graphics, artwork, fonts, sounds and more. It is an INCREDIBLE resource, with great and easy searching. My impression of the art on the IMSI disks ranges from bad to great, but you certainly get plenty of "good stuff" for your money, and the Clipart.com membership makes this a steal. (By the way, I'm a Mac user, and the online site works great for me).

All of their clip art are worthless and you probably do not want to use them. No need to give money and hope to get the refund.
