Features: DVD, Widescreen, Scene Access A Turkish poppy field is torched – and a U.S. drug trafficker known as “Mommy” (Winters) is feeling pretty burned. She phones the local cops she owns and orders a retaliatory strike on an inner-city antidrug headquarters. Mommy’s next call should be for 911. For now she’ll have to mess with Cleopatra Jones (Dobson).
Mommy is relentless in her vendetta – but Cleo responds with catlike karate stealth. Doodlebug, Pickle, Snake, and more of Mommy’s offbeat stooges add glide to the story’s stride. Their antics, Mommy’s chortling sleaziness and Cleo’s class shape the power and pizazz of Cleopatra Jones.
 Editor's Note
African-American writer Max Julien (also an actor who played the lead role in the pimpsploitation classic THE MACK) stirred up the Hollywood studio system with CLEOPATRA JONES, the first film of the genre to feature a butt-kicking woman in the title role. A buxom beauty, undercover narcotics agent Cleopatra Jones (Tamara Dobson)|is the principal operative in a covert scheme to eradicate an international drug trade. She's pulled away from important business when a phony raid on her boyfriend's ghetto halfway house puts the place in jeopardy. The source of her domestic troubles is Mommy, a raunchy underworld eccentric who uses her connections with bad cops on the force to cause trouble for Cleopatra's friends and set her up for an attack. With its non-stop action and hit soundtrack featuring a title track sung by Millie Jones, CLEOPATRA JONES is as fun to watch as it is culturally significant.
 Plot Summary
Cleopatra Jones, a federal agent, uses her formidable fighting skills to full advantage as she battles a wicked underworld narcotics queen and her tough mob.
