This set includes two science fiction films starring Vin Diesel. Features included are PITCH BLACK (2000) and it sequel, THE CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK (2004).

PITCH BLACK: Somewhere in the future, a spacecraft containing 40 passengers makes an emergency landing on a barren planet. The mere twelve survivors include Officer Fry (Rhada Mitchell) and the dangerous murderer Riddick (Vin Diesel). Trying to lead her crew towards safety, officer Fry realizes that the planet they have landed on is about to enter a total eclipse. Once the planet is shrouded in complete darkness, its own cannibalistic alien race will emerge and take over, devouring anything in its way. The key to the crew's survival lies in Riddick's special ability to see in darkness. Fry and the crew must rely on the man they trust least if they want to live.

CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK: Vin Diesel returns as Riddick in the sequel to PITCH BLACK. David Twohy returns to direct this feature, further exploring themes established in the first movie, and expanding his vision with some incredible special effects work. On the run from a group of Bounty Hunters, Riddick|is singled out by an Air Elemental, Aereon (Judi Dench), as the one man who can stop the evil Necromongers from taking over the Universe. Again, he finds himself at the heart of a battle, as the human race's only hope for survival.
