This carefully formulated batch of "Chicken Soup" guides teenagers through one of the most difficult periods in life. This new volume contains important lessons on the nature of friendship and love, the importance of belief in the future, the value of respect for oneself and others, and more.

Annotation:
When Jack Canfield first published CHICKEN SOUP FOR THE SOUL in 1993, no one could have predicted that this modest collection of inspirational stories would give rise to a publishing franchise that has drawn hundreds of thousands of readers throughout the U.S. and spawned a series of books, each aimed at a specialized audience, which has shown no sign of a slowdown in popularity. CHICKEN SOUP FOR THE TEENAGE SOUL, which has drawn some of the most enthusiastic reviews of any book in the the series, consists of significant lessons on teen themes such as the nature of friendship, the meaning of love, and the importance of self-respect.

Author Bio
Jack Canfield
Jack Canfield was an inner-city school teacher before he became a best-selling author. Beginning in 1967, he taught high school in Massachusetts and the Midwest before returning to graduate school for a degree in psychology. His experiences with students who badly needed an increase of self-esteem led to his concept for a book of motivational stories. The manuscript for CHICKEN SOUP FOR THE SOUL (co-written with a friend, Mark Victor Hansen) was rejected by 123 publishers until the authors finally found a small press that would take a chance. The rest is self-help history: as of 2003, over 80 million copies had been sold, and the book had generated innumerable spinoffs. Canfield, who admits that he got a C in his college composition course, has written several other books, including 100 WAYS TO ENHANCE SELF-CONCEPT IN THE CLASSROOM. He is also a therapist who practiced for many years in Amherst, Massachusetts, but gradually his job description evolved into a more public role, and he became a heavily-booked speaker on self-esteem and recovery issues. He is also the founder of Self-Esteem Seminars, located in Santa Barbara, California.

I Love You, Dad

If God can work through me, he can work through anyone.
—St. Francis of Assisi

I met a man who came to Tampa for his father''s funeral. Father and son hadn''t seen each other in years. After discussing a trip to Florida with his wife and children and consulting his busy schedule at his office, the son tentatively set a date to visit his father two months later. He would drive his family down when school was out for vacation. He scribbled a note and with mixed emotions, dropped it in the mail.

He heard back immediately. Written on lined paper torn from a spiral notebook, such as a schoolboy would use, were words of excitement penned

I thought it was wonderful! I can't wait to read the second! It had true meaning, and I'll never find another one quite as relaxing and heartbraking as this.
