5 of 5 Truely scary Wednesday, June 01, 2005 A Viewer from Knoxville
All too often these days horror is mistaken for blood and gore. The changeling is truely a scary movie that will give you goosebumps - foresaking blood for the supernatural. The plot is excellent as is the acting. If you like scary movies do yourself a favor, get The Changeling, turn off the lights and brace yourself! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 What a movie!! Monday, May 02, 2005 gloriagirl from Willimantic, ct. USA
Hey! you horror lovers:
George C. Scott, is one of the greatest actors...and I love all of his movies..But when I saw that he played in the "Changeling", I could not believe he did a horror/ghost movie.
This movie is real scary, as scary goes..when it's about a Ghost,
especially when the ghost is demanding and want's revenge after 70 years of waiting for someone to help him.
You get to hear a banging awful noise at a certain time of day all over the house, a noise so errie, that if "I" would have been there, "I"! would have packed my bags and left so fast, you wouldn't even see me or my dust..
It had a wheelchair that moved by itself..a ball bouncing down some steps with no one playing with it. A secret mysterious room.
And an awful family secret..that would make even the strongest man cry....having said this...keep a tissue box next to you, you'll need it.

5 of 5 A true CLASSIC horror movie (often imitated, never Thursday, September 18, 2003 cinemastar07 from Rutherford, NJ
Younger viewers may find the story familar, only because it has been ripped off NUMEROUS times, but the Changeling still holds up as one of the greats. You can see from this movie where "Ringu" and then "The Ring" got half of its ideas!!!
I remember watching this movie in my early teens and some of the scenes stuck with me for years. Still just as good now, and George C. Scott is great in it.
A "must see" for any ghost story/ horror fan. Was this review helpful?
