| | | The Jackie Chan Collection. Features: DVD Before the Bronx...Jackie Chan left his mark on the gang-infested street of Hong Kong. In this rare classic, Jackie is actually a villain who will not stop at anything to protect his boss, the kingpin of Hong Kong. The action mounts as hard-boiled policewoman sets her sights on destroying the syndicate - and only our man Chan stands in her way. Stunts and action aplenty in this rare look at Jackie Chan on the other side of the badge!
 Editor's Note
RUMBLE IN HONG KONG is an early Jackie Chan film where he plays the ruthless leader of a gang who needs to find the purse of an ex-gang member before someone else does. An innocent taxi driver was the last person to see the dead woman, and he enlists his sister, who is a policewoman and martial arts master, to help him.

| | Professional Reviews | MovieRapture 5 of 10 There really is almost nothing complimentary to say about Hdeng Tsu's Rumble in Hong Kong...The story the director tells is reasonably coherent but is painfully threadbare. Moreover, it introduces several elements that are never developed in any substantial way. In fact, the generally tedious narrative appears to exist only to provide excuses for various fight sequence or comic incidents. The former are reasonably entertaining, although they are unlikely to awe the viewer...Unfortunately, other than the mild interest Chan's brief appearances and the film makers' ineptitude lend the movie, there is very little in Rumble in Hong Kong that is likely to appeal to the viewer. - Keith Allen
