After beating Maryland in the first game of the season, the Orange went on to post an 11-1 regular season record in 1983. Hopkins owned a 12-5 advantage with less than seven minutes in the 3rd quarter when Syracuse University Caught fire. Syracuse outscored the Blue Jays 4-1 to close the period and then added 6 straight goals in the 4th quarter to go up 15-13. Syracuse University ended the day with a 17-16 win.
