    I recently bought my wife a new Canon camera and gave my wife my old 1G SD card. She would have to wait about 5 seconds between shots for a Superfine/Large (3.5MB-5MB)JPEG file to be written onto the 1G SD card. With the new Centon 8G Class 6 SDHC the write time for such a large JPEG file has now been reduced to less than a second; meaning I can now shoot near continuous pics with my wife's Canon point and shot. At $14, what a steal. I would not buy anything slower than a Class 6 card ever again regardless of price.

    Class 6 speed flash storage for less than $2/gb - what's not to like? Free shipping was even reasonably prompt. But what the heck has happened to Buy.com since the turn of the year? The "deals" have disappeared. I've been buying from Buy.com for a couple of years, and it seems like every week they make some kind of offer that is too good to pass up (even if I don't need it). As as expected, November and December up to Christmas was even better. But I haven't seen anything for the past 2 weeks that even begins to tempt me.

    I needed to know that a lot of older hardware - photo printers, etc. - can not read HC (high capacity) cards. There do not appear to be viable software / driver fixes for this. However, fairly inexpensive USB reader / writer options that can read these exist.
