5 of 5 Outstanding American Classic Monday, February 09, 2009 A Viewer from Pasadena, TX
Centennial is considered to be the first mini-series. After its initial showing, this program evolved into one of the best loved American classics. The program featured some of the finest television stars who depicted characters associated with the founding of the American West. It is always a joy to revisit the Pasquinels, Major Mercy, Jim Lloyd, and all the other memorable characters. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Centennial: What a Miniseries. Monday, September 08, 2008 ChurchofChrist7 from Edwardsburg, MI
From all the Miniseries I've seen I say that Centennial is by far The Best. I don't recall any Swearing, No immodest dress. The acting was Great. It gives a accurate account of how life was back during the Frontier Days. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 What a long wait Friday, August 15, 2008 jackbarie from California City, California
I logged on to Buy.Com for grins and giggles knowing that I was asking for the impossible. I have been looking for this DVD for 15 years, as I could only find this series in VHS format. What a suprize when not only did Buy.Com list it, they advertised it before it officially went on the market giving me first crack. I watched this series when it first came to TV and searched ever since.
This series is a must watch for kids, it will definitely show them the history of the west. It is a terrific piece of fiction based on historical fact. After seeing it again after more than 20 years, I appreciate James Micheners work even more.
I see it is on sale at the moment, so I strongly recommend it.
