5 of 5Werks fer me! Monday, November 26, 2007 A Customer from York SC
Just moved into a home that has no coverage inside and very poor if any outside and that's a problem for me since I work for the cellular provider. I had to do something and could not afford one of the commercial versions I have installed at large businesses. I decided to give this unit a try even though I do not have the 2-3 bar signals that they state is required for proper operation. No time due to holidays to install properly but I put the donor antenna at a marginal spot outside on the deck and the unit inside the bedroom. I went from no signal to weak signal and solid reliable coverage. The next step will be to mount the antenna on the roof at about 40-50ft with 10ft of mast. My concern is that the signal loss on the cable to reach the repeater box will nigate the gain. Bottom line is if you have no coverage this unit may very well work for you. You may not get 1-2K sqft of coverage but at least it will give you cell service. Beyond that purchase a Xlink BT adapter and pair it up to your blue tooth phone and plug it into any regular cordless phone so you can roam around.
