This is my second Cavalry drive and I'm still impressed. This from a cosmetic standpoint is a sleak looking drive. Its transfer speeds are impressive and it supports USB 1.1 and 2.0. My XP box picked it up quickly and the Vista machine did as well. I'd recommend the Cavalry line to any serious or casual computer user. This device is a Must Have for all computer users since data backup is critical.

Love it. Very easy to use. Vista found the drivers, didn't even use the disk. Reformatted to FAT32 with no problems. Runs very quiet. Front blue light is awesome. I bought it to hold video files to play on my Xbox directly and it works great. I wasn't sure about the brand upon purchase, but the price was irresistible. Thank you Cavalry and Buy.com!

This is a very good deal. The drive worked perfectly out of the box. XP recognized it and then automatically installed the proper drivers. The included software works well. It appears to be a Western Digital drive inside the case.

Purchased this drive when rebate was available - a nice deal, these 500 GB drives have become the sweet spot of pricing for mass storage. I own several USB external drives, Lacies, Western Digital, Fantoms - this one is as easy as any to set up, preformatted in NTTS, quick and quiet - quieter than I expected from a budget priced Cavalry drive. My Lacie Drives are as quiet as this one and have lasted 3 years so far. I can'r speak for this one yet but if it performs as well I'll be very happy. The one quirk is the Cavalry logo on the front faceplate, which is rather large, lights up brightly when the drive is on. I don't know who they're advertising to - I already bought the drive. Turn the other lights off in the room and enjoy the blue glow and added storage.
