The CADA-C32 Series offers an unbeatable combination of RAID data protection, a vast storage capacity of 1TB (500GB mirrored), and ease of use with a Mac. This dual-bay drive features swappable hard disks and a built-in RAID chipset controller and arrives preconfigured in RAID 1 to protect your important data—if one drive fails, replace it with an identical drive and the data will automatically rebuild.

Leave it in RAID 1 for automatic background rebuilding and optimum security for your files, or reconfigure to RAID 0 for increased data reading and writing speeds. The CADA-C32 is ideal for saving and protecting files, video, music and photographs, works great with Apple Time Machine® and delivers high-capacity performance with redundant data security.

The unit is factory pre-formatted in RAID 1 mode and ready to use out of the box; just plug it into your USB or FireWire 800 port to start securing your important files!

I liked this drive so much, I bought 2 of them. I did have a problem with 500 Raid. Called the manufacturer and they walked me through changing the Raid to a full 1TB. My warranty was not voided.

Description did not say it was Mac formatted. Windows XP could not see it to reformat. Had to put it on a Mac and format as FAT32 then put on XP and format NTFS. Other than that working good.

This looks to be a decent quality product. Very easy to set up as a RAID 500gb drive. Fan is a bit loud for a mac user (Steve Jobs hates noisy machines). PC users will find it quiet. However, the support for this is dismal. No driver software included. Just a poorly printed sheet of paper. Web site is weak, with poor organization and limited information. This is advertised as a 1TB drive, but there is no way to turn of the default RAID 1 setting unless you open the drive, killing your warranty. I was frankly mislead by BUY into buying this product. I am returning it and would like a full refund, including my shipping.
