 Editor's Note
It's graduation day at Huntington Hills High, and you know what that means - time to party. And not just any party, either. This one will be a night to remember, as the nerds become studs, the jocks are humiliated, and freshman crushes blossom into grown-up romance. Will Preston (Ethan Embry) finally talk to teen queen Amanda (Jennifer Love Hewitt)? Will whiteboy rapper Special K (Seth Green) hook up? Writing/directing team Deborah Kaplan and Harry Elfont (JOSIE AND THE PUSSYCATS) pay loving tribute to the 1980's teen films they obviously adore, updating the genre for a new generation of young people.

| | Professional Reviews | Entertainment Weekly "...High-spirited..." 06/19/1998 p.50Los Angeles Times "...Fast and funny....For all its nonstop energy and high spirits, CAN'T HARDLY WAIT allows its characters to emerge as fully dimensional individuals..." 06/12/1998 p.C6 Entertainment Weekly "[E]ssentially an updated take on the party scenes from SIXTEEN CANDLES, SUMMER SCHOOL, and CLUELESS....[I]t's worth watching for the parade of familiar faces alone." -- Grade: B 10/10/2008 p.54 San Francisco Chronicle 7 of 10 ... gets good mileage out of the classic pattern... It's about high school kids on the brink of new lives. It brings together a host of characters, some funny, some not so funny, and shows them growing and changing, falling in love, finding themselves, etc... It sounds like old stuff. Teenage movies without people stabbing each other have gone out of style. But Can't Hardly Wair has freshness, comic invention and an engaging romantic spirit. - Mick LaSalle
