Canon PowerShot SD750 - Digital Camera Review
DigitalCameraInfo.com
Published on: 8/14/2007 10:00 AM
The Canon PowerShot SD750 almost qualifies as a flat screen TV with its 0.77-inch width and enormous 3-inch LCD screen. The features are otherwise fairly basic: 7.1 megapixels, a 3x optical zoom lens, and automatic exposure modes that make the SD750 very easy to use. ...read the full review

Cassen from Brooklyn, NY
I was very satisfied with it when i first got it, because the LCD screen was big, the buttons were pretty and all, super easy to view pictures(as in you dont have to turn on the camera to view your pictures). I love this camera, and i definitely recommend this :]. I wish they had this in 10MP same exact model :(

4 of 5 Not the best, but certainly good. Sunday, July 06, 2008
Abhishek alias 'Dexter' from Phoenix, AZ
The biggest negative with this series is the night mode. The night photos that I took using night modes or manually customized modes were really bad. Sometimes when I used flash, the background would just black out. Besides that, the look and feel of the camera is excellent. The 3.0" LCD is the USP and amazing to view the photos and videos. The controls are very standard and if you have used a digicam before this will not be new. The battery also lasts pretty long (almost 2 days even if used continuously). There are much cheaper models from Nikon available with the same specs, but you won't get the same build and looks. Yes, would recommend it from Buy.com.

i have been totally impressed with this camera. We have used canon cameras before as well. Their picture quality is really good. I am also impressed with the video quality of SD750 - we no longer need to carry the bulky camcorder.

I am very pleased with my new Powershot. It is small, compact and has almost all of the bells and whistles of cameras costing much more. The 3 inch LCD screen is a real plus. Purchase, shipping and receiving were all completed within 5 working days.

5 of 5 Unbelieveable price for the Canon SD-750 Tuesday, April 15, 2008
Lee from TTown, AL.
I have owned my sd 750 for about a year and love it everytime I use it. This is my 3rd or 4th generation digital camera. I have owned two other Canons and 1 Sony. This is by far the easiest camera to use. It takes great pictures and live movies at 30 frames per second with audio. I really like the super fast power up feature. The camera turns on extremely fast and is ready to shoot within a matter of about 1 second. My first Canon SD-750 cost $249 a year ago. I bought 2 this December for $219. Now at $178, this is a steal. I recommend to buy two and give the other as a great gift. Enjoy photography.

5 of 5 Good Camera Thursday, January 03, 2008
A Customer from Muenster, TX
This is my first digital camera to own/purchase and I believe it to be first class. I have several acquaintances that own Canon digital cameras, and all seem very satisfied. Large screen in the back, more options than I've ever seen....great picture quaility. It will take a little while to learn how to fully utilize it, but it's worth it.

5 of 5 Great Camera! Monday, August 13, 2007
Marija from Orlando, FL
I love this camera! It takes great pictues and has so many great features. The size of the camera itself is great, I can easily fit it into my pocket. The size of the LCD screen is as big as the whole camera, nice! I love the face recognition and the the fact that if you're holding your camera horizontally or vertically, the picture flips around as well! Make sure to get a LCD screen protector.

5 of 5 The best digital camera for the money! Friday, August 10, 2007
bebeale from NYC, NY
We are avid fans of Canon digital camera. I actually used several other brands prior to meeting my fiancee. She takes over 10,000 pics a year and nothing else holds up like the Canon camera. I feared that this camera was going to be less sturdy because of the lower price but it is great. We like the bigger screen and the video capabilities. THANKS, Canon! Keep up the good work!

5 of 5 Love this camera. Monday, August 06, 2007
A Customer from Yukon, OK
Bought this camera to replace our A550, my wife wanted something less bulky that would easily fit in her purse, and this camera definitely fits the bill. I love that when you are reviewing your pics, you can rotate the camera according to the pic orientation and the camera will rotate the picture and fit it to the screen. Canons have the best quality pictures out there, every camera I own is Canon, (Digital Rebel XTi, Elura 100, A550 & the SD750). Liked it so much that my inlaws have bought one.

5 of 5 Walmart is selling for around $260 Wednesday, June 27, 2007
A Customer from San Francisco, CA
I am still trying to find out why would people buy from here rather than a local store that let you return (with restocking fee) of course. The camera is good, but the way it forces you to use their software to download photos rather than showing up like a USB drive is very annoying. I came from a Kodak and want to continue to use my easyshare software, and now I have to take my card out every time and put it in a card reader.

Great Camera, glad I purchased this product, but wish I waited a few weeks, price dropped instantly after it first came out. Probably will drop to the low 200 range in a couple months.

3 of 5 Little Disappointed but overall great compact Came Friday, June 08, 2007
Mayank from Pasadena, TX
Canon SD 750 is a great compact camera with such a small size and lot of qualities. Overall it is a great camera however i have only two concerns:- 1. Durability - You can not put regular battries in it. It comes with canon thin rechargeable square battries. So at some point you have to change it for sure and buy new ones same type. 2. Picture Quality - Usually with such sort of price you would look for superfine picture quality. Picture quality overall is good but as not as good as you can expect from canon on this price. Might be more value has given to compactibilty than picture quality.

5 of 5 Outstanding Digital Camera Tuesday, June 05, 2007
cudlybare from Belleville, New Jersey
I could not wait to use this amazing digital camera. I had searched and researched before I decided on this particular camera. Like a child with a new toy the minute I took it out of the box I began to shoot. The colors on this camera is amazing there so bright and vivid as if you were hold the actual image right there in you hands. I recently received a brand new puppy so that was the reason for the purchase of the new camera. She is always all over the place but with this camera you can not tell. This camera is the best so far and if you are the market for a digital camera you could not go wrong with this one. 3" Lcd is a plus as well.

5 of 5 A Great Camera! Thursday, May 31, 2007
duhjoker from Houston, TX
I have had the SD750 for over 1 month now and have shot over 1000 images and .avi files. I am impressed! After turning on the camera, it can shoot a pic within about 2 seconds, probably less. The zoom is good and relatively clear and since I have a 2gb Kingston SD card, then my video files have also been well above 10 minutes with clear sound. Even while video is recording, you can zoom in/out. Main drawback is the lack of the viewfinder. This can be a problem in heavy sun or underwater use as the sun can make the nice 3 inch screen difficult to view. The screen has many pixels and is extremely clear. No regrets here. Check out the underwater case also!

5 of 5 WOW! Thursday, May 31, 2007
Manny from Orlando, FL
Wow, and WOW! This camera just is simply the most amazing piece of electronics i've ever had and i own alot of tech toys. It makes my 8525 PDA phone look like it was made by Tyco. The Face detect tracks the face of anyone in front of the screen like the terminator would track a potential victim. The auto-iso instantly changes the iso and shutter speed to ensure there is no blurring. Most reviewers felt this was superior than the 'image stabilization' of the newer cameras that simply use digital blurring instead of the even more superior suspension based systems found on the $$$$ cameras for professionals. Overall this is just jaw dropping amazing. Every picture looks like i got it from a photographer. The crazy amount of modes in it are just ridiculous. The color swap is my favorite. It's where you get those crazy photos where everything is in black and white except one color. It even can do that for movies too. Which by the way, are even better than my Sony DV camcorder. the 640x480 progressive images at 30 Frames per second make for just amazing video. I bought the 4GB SDHC card here for $40 which means i can record an hour of video on this fingernail sized card. Can i say more?
