5 of 5 Great Camera Wednesday, September 28, 2005
Dan from Los Angeles, CA

Takes great photos and is very easy to use. Also has a viewfinder which is why i picked this one over other cannons. I compared many cameras and thought this was the best value. Video works very well also.

5 of 5 Very small, simple camera Monday, August 29, 2005
Christopher from PA
It might lack manual adjustments, but it gets things right so often it doesn't matter for a point-n-shoot. This was a gift for my wife and she loves it, it's so small it can be with her all the time, and power-on to first picture is right around 1 second.

It comes with a conventient battery charger that is very slim as well, with prongs that turn into the charger when not in use. The only weird thing here is that carrying the charger with a battery in it seems to drain that battery.

5 of 5 Great camera for the price Wednesday, July 20, 2005
A Customer from Virginia, USA
I have been using this camera for almost 4 months now. The image quality is great when taking pictures and videos. The compact size is GREAT. It is the size of a deck of cards. Very nice. The features are great and easy to use. Being a person who does not like to read instructions, I have no problem figuring out how to use the camera. The macro mode is perfect for close up of flowers. It works wonderful. Night and day shots are great too. Video w/voice is a plus. I use Viking SD card.

5 of 5 Darn Good Camera Tuesday, June 14, 2005
cwilson2 from Somerset, NJ
For the size and price, I don't think you can find a better unit. This is my first ultra compact camera and I am extremely impressed. Canon made it very easy to tote this device around. (especially for men since we dont have the luxury of carrying around pocketbooks)

5 of 5 very impressed Monday, June 06, 2005
skim from NY, NY
As a graphic designer, i've used many digital cameras... currently i own Sony DSC828, Canon PowerShot S50 & Sony Cybeshot P10. i also had couple of Nikons...but somehow never fell love with them. I had difficult time picking out a camera for my little sister as a grad. gift... since there are so many of them out there. She wanted small compact camera with fancy look or sleek design...so she can look cool (she's only 14) and i wanted a camera, which can produce nice quality picture... long battery life...easy to use...etc. i must say, this camera impressed me almost every way. i never bought a digital camera under 5mp but since this is for 14yr old girl, i didn't think high-res was necessary...but after printing few test photos, i couldn't tell difference between SD300 & S50 (of course, images were all 4x6). And most importantly, she was pleased with this super compact, sleek looking camera with bright red leather case.

I just received the camera and have been reading the manual. I have found the camera to be very user-friendly (which is quite important for someone with my photography experience). I look forward to more practice while on vacation! Great value!

5 of 5 What a powerful little camera! Wednesday, May 11, 2005
Anea from Summit, NJ
I got this little camera last week and I am very satisfied with my purchase. It is so fast and easy to use. The 2 inch screen is very clear and now a must for any camera I purchase in the future. The overall best feature for me is the size. It fits easily into my little purse and has no protruding parts.

5 of 5 Awesome Digital Camera Saturday, February 05, 2005
dannybt from Camas, WA
I just got it last week and took a bunch of pictures with and it is absolutely awesome. It is very fast so I don't have to wait between pictures and if there is an action shot I want to take it does it with no problem, it also turns on very quickly as well. The video quality is also great with great sound quality. I bought a 1GB SD card with it as well so I can record a long time with it. It keeps recording until the card is full which is very useful. The 2" screen is really nice and vivid. With all these great features it also can fit in your shirt pocket. I couldn't ask for a better camera. Buy it, you won't go wrong.

5 of 5 Fantastic Camera, Convenient to use Monday, January 31, 2005
diablose94 from Covington, WA
Great camera loaded with a bunch of features from a quality movie mode to a tiny size that makes bringing a camera with you unnoticeably easy. This camera takes great pictures and processes them quickly. Only drawback is that it would be nice to have 5mp.

5 of 5 So great I can't stop snapping! Saturday, January 22, 2005
Rob from Houston, TX
I bought this camera after having an Canon S500. I thought that camera rocked.......but then lost it. DARN! So, insurance money enabled me to shop around and I saw this new puppy from Canon, the SD300. The upgrades from the old Elphs are enormous! The screen is huge and much crisper than the old one. Compact Flash cards are now gone and SD are here with much faster read/write speeds. Power on is lightning fast and time between pics is so quick too! Bought a 1 gig SD card straight away, a must for anyone taking lots of pics and movies. Ah, the movies. The quality is much improved and you can select either Normal, Fast frame rate, or medium qualities. You can keep filming until the card runs out too! Overall, this camera is much lighter, smaller and better made than the old S series. The downgrade in pixels from 5MP to 4MP is negligable and not worth worrying about, so go ahead and get this amazing piece of machinery!

5 of 5 Best one yet! Wednesday, December 22, 2004
Yves M. from Wheaton, IL
I have owned over the years several Canons; the S100, S300, S330, then S400 Digital Elphs. Most recently I purchased this SD300 and love it. It is by far the smallest (very thin) and has the best LCD screen. It is very noticably faster in start-up times and taking pictures then its predessors (using the provided Canaon SD card). I have ordered a SanDisk Ultra II 512 SD card that will hopefully arrive soon too. A nice new feature is the postcard format which finally allows for the date to be imprinted on each image if you so choose. I will be looking for a second battery soon probably. All the features of the previous generation are still there - if you're looking for a simple yet powerful Point-and-Shoot that you can carry all the time this is it!
