Canon MP610 Photo All-In-One Printer

This printer is great. It was super easy to install and setup. I have had it for about 6-8 months and I have yet to have to replace an ink cartridge. I have never had any problems with clarity either, this thing just blows my mind, especially since I did the free shipping (7-10 days) and I received the printer in about 36 hours! The price was right for me, I think I paid $160 or so for it, and the quality has out performed my expectations.

About 1 year ago I upgraded my desktop from XP to Vista. Ever since I could not get my printer HP all-in-one to work properly with my computer. After months of support calls and emails and downloads, I gave up and purchased my first Canon product (Pixma MP610 all-in-one). It has worked perfectly right out of the box. The pictures printed are excellent and the scans are superb. The service and value from Buy.com is excellent.

The Canon MP610 does everything I need it to do and easy too. The built in LCD display and the well designed Canon interface make all tasks a breeze. You can do many of the tasks right from the printer without the need for your computer. Scan, copy, print from camera, print from memory card, photo reproduce; all can be done right from the printer. This multi-function printer does so much the hardest part about using it is learning all it can do. The borderless 4"X6" prints can stand up to scrutiny next to store prints. All prints up to 8.5"X11" on quality photo paper are great. The printer is fast no matter what you are trying to print. Canon has bundeled with the unit very intuitive software that to this point has not disappointed in functionality. Of all the brands of printers I have owned over the years this is the best so far. One item that I never see brought up in reviews that I think will be important to many users is the fact that the unit can be closed up to protect from dust. The rear paper input, the paper output, and the display unit can all be closed to keep dust out when not in use.

I am a person who does research for almost everything I purchase. After deciding that this printer would be it, I found the best price here. Shipping was fast even though I chose the slowest method (free). I have loved this printer. I switched from a HP all-in-one and this one is quite a bit better. I have printed a picture that now sits on my mantle. It prints pictures very quickly. I have also scanned and copied and those features work flawless. The regular printing of stuff is done that with ease and great quality. This is a purchase I'm glad to have made and look forward to using it even more.

Only had for short time w/ limited usage so far, but very pleased with speed and ease of set up and use. Colors really pop even on plain paper. Add to that the low price. Heck, I remember paying $200 for a plain black & white printer. This was almost half that (w/ rebate). Fantastic deal.

It is not professional tool but for the home office it is the best 3 in 1 I ever had. Good software and good quality performance. It is easy to use too. cartridges are volumal enough to last for a month at least at averege usage at about 40 B&W sheets and 20-30 pictures. Intraface is convinien to use. Configuration is simple.

Very nice printer so far. Very user friendly. Paper feeds from above using gravity so I haven't had any feed problems yet. Photos look excellent when printing on photo paper. Not sure if it can automatically print 2 sided copies without sending through twice, although I doubt any do at this price. I don't know how much ink it uses yet or how much it costs. Overall it is a very solid printer.

The printer was very easy to set up for use with my Dell computer. I am not very computer savvy so saying it was easy is really saying something. Relatively fast and quiet operation

I just finished publishing eight copies of a book I wrote containing 10 pages, a front cover, dedication page and a back cover. The total of 104 pages went fine. It's easy to use and fast as well. Great resolution. I usuall use Epson, but this is superior, in my estimation.

Our purchase through Buy.com was easy and went very well. We made our purchase on a Friday and the Canon MP610 was delivered shipping free on the next Tuesday am. The USB cable came two days later in a separate package as anticipated. We had the machine operating and printing photos within an hour after hooking it up. Our anticipated savings was approximately $90 to $100 when comparing with a retail store purchase. Thank you Canon and Buy.com.

This is only my second printer (first one HP5550 DeskJet) in 8 years. I am VERY happy with this printer; very easy to use, great print quality, great price. I highly recommend this model.

I work in the Graphic Arts industry, so I wasn't expecting much when I purchased this printer for my wife to use at home. Since my purchase, I have enjoyed printing photos directly from my camera's SD card in a variety of sizes and configurations, all selected from the on-screen display. I made a color copy after having it out of the box for about 5 minutes. It appears that Canon's less expensive home-based equipment carries the same attention to quality and features that they plug into their commercial equipment. My wife is thrilled and that's good for me...happy wife = happy life!

Shipping is free and fast! Price is unbeatable, great purchase. The installation was easy; all functions (print, copy and scan) worked flawlessly. The trial pack of photo paper coming with the machine was handy, I printed out a few photos instantly and the picture quality turned out pretty good. In addition, Cannon website hosts a creative park where I downloaded a few 3-D paper crafts for free. Had them printed out from my new printer. My 3 yr old daughter and I had a good time making goldfish and bunnis. USB cable is not provided so you need to get one yourself in order to connect the printer to your PC/notebook.

This is a great printer. Easy to set-up and install. Super quiet compared to my last Epson. Love the paper tray on the bottom. That way I don't have paper showing all the time. Haven't seen all it can do yet but am very happy so far. Ordered this and received it in less than 24 hours. Unbelievable!!! That was with Free Shipping. Will never hesitate to order from Buy.com!!!

The printer performs very well. The paper feed on the back sometimes pulls the paper at a slight angle which can mostly be resolved by reducing the amount of paper in the tray. It took me half past forever to figure out where the cassette tray was. It is very thin. I use the cassette tray for my photo paper. It's better to keep the varying types of paper separated this way. Black and white prints are very fast and I really don't have to wait too long for the color prints. The prints are for the most part very crisp and colorful. Although...one picture that had lots of black at the bottom had a few lines in it. There are slots for memory cards on the printer also and there is a display where you can view your pictures. It's alright I guess. I'll stick to my monitor to view the pictures. You can purchase a Bluetooth Adapter such as a DS810 to make your printer wireless. I also purchased an Anycom Bluetooth USB Adapter USB-250 to attach to the laptop. (Total for both was $79.16) These devices are especially good if you use a laptop. I use desktop and laptop so this is more convenient.

I had a really old HP pSC 1350xi that was starting to goof up when feeding paper. So I started looking for a replacement. I wasn't in a rush. Just started poking around. I came across this printer via deals2buy or dealsofamerica (can't remember which), and, after googling for a buy.com coupon and sales, the printer was about $126 shipped. I jumped on it almost impulsively because it had 2 features that i liked: separate ink cartridges so that you can replace just the ones that run out, and duplex printing. I know duplex isn't a big deal, but when I do things like taxes, I like to save space in my personal records file. If i didn't print duplex, i'd copy one side, then put the paper back in, and copy the other side. so, this feature is great for me. the installation is a snap. printing pictures is wonderful! the pictures look great, and the software that comes with the printer is very simple to use, and intuitive. I know there's more powerful software out there, but for a person who doesn't print tons of pictures, the software that comes with the printer is just right. and, i was able to put a stack of 4x6 glossy paper in the holder, and print many pictures in one printing session. worked perfectly, and it was fast, too. i've both scanned and copied paperwork without a hitch, too. I got away from HP because i had a tremendously bad customer service experience with an HP laptop. I was originally thinking about epson printers, since i heard they're good, too, but this printer had all the features i wanted, at an unbeatable price. i am very glad i gave canon a chance. i am very happy with this printer. cons? some, but minor. first, it's bulkier than the little HP all-in-ones, but not overly so. second, it makes a little whirring/gear moving noise sometimes. not grinding, you just hear things moving. i assume that's just the way this particular printer works, so it's not really a complaint. and, it's very much quieter than my old printer, so i don't care :)

I bought my MP610 back earlier this month and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The hardest part for me was getting it out of the box, since I'm physically challanged, but even then I had it up and running in less than two hours. Everything works much better than you would expect in a multifunction machine. No complaints here, I love the duplex printing option, it prints good color photographs, the copier and scanner work flawlessly I even printed a couple of pictures using its built in card reader, no problem. Over all I'm very satisfied, but buyers be aware, it comes minus the usb cable needed to connect it to the computer, so make sure you get one of those before delivery day.

I've owned this printer for a couple of weeks and I love it. It prints beautiful photographs and the ink tanks seem to last a long time. I have printed dozens of pictures and the ink cartridges are still full. The duplex feature is very cool for a printer of this value. I bought it on sale for 139.00 at Buy.com but after owning it, would pay the full 200.00 if I had to.

Just received this printer. This was very easy to set up with my computer. I downloaded the software and the printer worked on the first try. Haven't had time to use the printer with photos but I saw an example in the store. After reading all reviews, I'm certain I'll be pleased with the complete package. I ordered my printer on Saturday and received it on Tuesday morning. Great price - Buy.com is a great site to deal with. I would recommend this printer to anybody.

This is a great all-in-one printer. It prints nice photos and documents, and prints them quickly. The only problem I've had is figuring out how to print only a select number of pictures from a memory card.

I just got my printer yesterday and so far I love it! It is exactly what I was looking for and a great price for all that it does. I wanted an all in one that would also print great pictures. So far I have tested it by printing several 4x6 prints some color some black and white. All look great. I also printed a few documents and these turned out good as well. Printer speed is pretty quick. Setup is very easy. Overall nice printer! I would highly recommended it!

Nice printer, Durable, Reliable. Excellent-"laser quality" printing. Its flat sides flushes nicely to the wall. The copier (w/ PDF format) is convenient as opposed to using a scanner and turning on your computer. I like it when the paper-out tray automatically "pops" open when you forget to open it. Also the dual tray which I use one for the envelopes. The control panel screen works like a professional office copier but, includes an "ipod wheel scroll likeness." All around, a great multi-use printer, better than the epson photo printer I had which produced sub-standard text after 6-months.

Exceeded my expectations for delivery speed. Use the cheapest delivery mode. I used no cost delivery and was expecting the product in about 8 days, but it arrived in about 4.

I wanted a printer mainly for artwork, but I didn't want to lose my printing/scanning capabilities. I had a hard time finding middle ground between cheap (price and quality) all-in-ones, and a good quality photo printer. When I finally started looking at the Canons, and found the MP610, it was just what I was looking for. Great quality, very good price, and had all the features I wanted. I have ran vellum and inkjet shrink film through it with no problems. Canon is very supportive of creativity with their printers. I glad I spent all the time I did researching prior to buying!

Great printer. All that was expected. Pictures print out very nicely. It is not super fast, but quality is a more important quality over speed for me. The only one complaint is there is not USB cord in the box...WTH is that all about!!!!

Printer works great. First printer I received from Buy.com had an error code that wasn't covered in the manual. I called Canon support to check it out. They said it was a hardware error and immediately replaced the printer and sent additional print cartridges. I know that Buy.com would have replaced the defective unit but Canon took responsibility handling everything very quickly and efficiently on the very first phone call. Canon support alone would make this printer worth buying. However, the printer prints and copies twice as good as the printer that I had that was only a year old.

CANON WINS! hands down. I purchased a MP610 abot two months ago and have found it more than supperior to my old Epson 6400. All the features are outstanding. The control design is well laid out and easy to use.The only minor annoyance,(at least for my older hands), is the access door for the photo cards. It does not open far enough to make inserting a SD card or other photo card without twisting and bending to get a card in and out. It would be better if it opened down instead of to the left. I may sound picky but after doing several Photo cards my hand gets cramps. OPERATION.. Printing so far has been superb in all sizes and types of paper. I especially like the dual paper storage.Ink seems to last longer than my Epson and copies are done faster. Summing it up, Canon has delivered all it claims in the advertisements.I give the MP610 an excellent rating with a rating of 9.5

Printer starts up fast and the print quality is excellent. Duplex feature is slow, but it does have the capability. Works beautifully with Vista. Ink doesn't last very long, but Canon inks aren't too expensive, and I recommend using them. Scans and copies like a dream. Nice design with small footprint. Love this printer!

Tried to buy the 600 MP because of the great reviews.But they seem to be getting harder to get at a resonable price.When the 610 MP came out a assumed it was pretty much the same machine but the prices were more competitve.Happy with it blows my old Lexmark away.

I've been using Epson inkjet printers for a long time. But, after my last one died with clogged print nozzels, I switched to this Canon thinking it would be a compromise. NOT! This is a terrific printer with great features and a user-friendly software interface. It has a high quality look and feel -- a fantastic exchange for the low price. Also, the print quality is great and it is really fast. I really really really like this printer!

The printer was DOA, and instead of dealing with Buy.com, I called the local Canon authorized repair shop, and they fixed it under warranty in 1 day. Now that it is working it is a great printer. Kind of noisy though. Also seems to take a long time to "warm up" before it starts actually printing the page.

I've had many a printer in my day, but never a Canon. This printer was a steal for its price! The scanner is particularly awesome. It's fast, the prints are beautiful and I wouldn't change a thing. I haven't had to use any new cartridges yet and have used it quite a bit. Hope that helps some!

Always a compromise when you take the swiss army knife approach and buy an all in one. This unit does not have fax capabilities but performs very well as a printer (with duplex), copier and scanner. Once setup is complete it's easy to use and very fast. Print quality is excellent. Comes with a variety of scanning and photo software and works well with Vista Ultimate (32 and 64 bit). No network connectivity but bluetooth is an add-on option. All in all well worth $150.
