5 of 5 Solid device and solid value... network scanning w Saturday, May 03, 2008
    Mike from Chattanooga, TN
I have done very low volume on the printer to this point, but I'm very happy with the device. I've used for printing, copying and scanning, and each of these features has worked as expected. <BR><BR> The beauty of network printing should not be underestimated--if you own a laptop and have a home WiFi setup, you will fall in love with the network capabilities. Anytime that you are connected to your WiFi network, you are ready to print. <BR><BR> My only real complaint at this point is related to the fact that you cannot scan over a network. Even if you only scan infrequently (as I do), the need to plug in the USB cable is actually is a little more of a problem than you might think. This is because the software does not seem to be geared towards using a network connection for everyday printing and a USB connection for infrequent scanning. Instead, the installer makes the assumption that you are going to use one connection or the other. It is not that difficult to set up your Windows XP computer to use both, but you'll need a little bit of computer savvy. Adding a network scanning feature would really take this device to the next level.

5 of 5 Canon Is great! Saturday, May 03, 2008
A Customer from Swannanoa North Carolina
The Canon MF5770 is the second of the series we own. Like its non feeder cousin which we have run for two years it performs great. The feeder is a real plus. My CPA wife uses it constantly to copy tax returns. As our other Canon, you have to pull the plug out to reset. No big deal a couple of times a month. It is very fast also and makes a great copy.

4 of 5 Best Bang for the Buck Sunday, April 27, 2008
    Keith from Durham, NC
Very easy to set up, fast printing, fast first page out. After incentives I got this for less than the replacement toner cartridge will cost me! That's insanely cheap for a laser printer and a truely great deal for an all in one with built in networking. The only cons I have are these: They tried to make the printer appear to have a smaller footprint by angling in the sides, this means the paper tray is flush on the front but sticks out six inches in the back. All the connections are conviently located on the back where they should be, EXCEPT the fax lines are on the left side, way up in the middle of the unit. Creates cable clutter for no reason.

5 of 5 canon does it again... Thursday, April 17, 2008
    A Customer from Lexington, KY
great product... we bought it last week from here and one the service from buy.com is excellent and along with that....... this awesome AIO... dang what more can be said besides if your looking for a quality printer/scanner/fax/copier look no further... the coolest things with this is... it comes with a FULL CARTRIDGE and a 4' USB CABLE!!! I mean normally from HP or someone else it's half carts... this is the FULL 2500 pages cart the x25 which is cheap as heck also... anyways I have nothing but goods to say about it and only one con... the only thing I have against it is that It can be a little loud, but that's what I get with it sitting right beside me... in a normal environment it would be great...

2 of 5 Be aware: This machine does not support network sc Wednesday, April 16, 2008
    A Customer from Atlanta, GA
I wanted a network scanner more than a network printer. This machine scans only when connected via USB. No wonder this was selling for so less. If you looking for printer with networking this is the best one for the price. But for a MultiFunction on network- spend another $100 on top of this.

1 of 5 Beware Mac users! Saturday, April 12, 2008
    imac user from Vacavile, California
This product is not compatible with Mac OS so it does not come with Mac OS drivers. Canon does not have drivers available for this product. I found this out only after I tried installing and talking to Canon rep.

    1 of 5 DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY Tuesday, April 08, 2008
    A Customer from Batavia, IL
Barely got a years worth of service out of this piece of garbage which ultimately broke down with a hardware failure 1 week out of it's 1 year warranty. This unit was not used that often during the year that it was more or less working. I had various problems with it during it's short life. It would stop printing and display error messages requiring a certain paper size with no way to reset the unit. The faxing function had about a 50% chance of successfully transmitting the fax. Canon usually has good products but they apparently had one of their entry level punks engineering this unit, and I'm surprised to see they're even still trying to sell this. Only one redeeming quality about this unit is that it's heavy enough to make a good dooorstop.

Quality printer, inexpensive to run. Toolbox software is a pain to use for scanning. Paper that prints out falls out if to many papers are in the out box.

Not perfect (scanning via ADF, at least from what I've seen so far, requires separate scan operations for each page), but very, very, good, esp for the price!

5 of 5 very decent printer/copier for the price Saturday, March 15, 2008
    A Customer from Brooklyn, NY
We have it for just over 3 weeks. So far it works fine and we are happy with it. The only minus is from energy point of view: there is no power button to turn it off completely (uless to pull the cord); however, there is an Energy Saver button, so it is ok.

Alton Owens from Quitman, Arkansas US of A
Pleased with purchase, fast setup, thanks to good tech support by Cannon. Very fast with good output quality. Only drawback is; this unit does not have an ON/OFF switch, so in a very low use situation you unplug or plug into a switch bank.

4 of 5 Very Good Printer for the Price Saturday, March 08, 2008

This is a great all in one printer. The print is very sharp. I have not used all of the features, but I am quite sure I will be happy with them as well. This is my second Canon printer and I hope this one lasts as long as the C3500 I had.

5 of 5 At Buy.com's sale price, why by toner for your old Thursday, February 14, 2008
    Ken from New York, NY
Got it for a few dollars less right here during a Buy.com insane sale. For the money, which includes free shipping, how can you not replace older, slower machines? This one is a speed demon on copying and printing; haven't connected the fax yet or used the scanner function. Digital-quality images are sensational. Paper loading takes some getting-used to and the paper tray, from time to time, tells me I didn't get it right. Error messages are cleared with little effort, provided you actually put the paper in correctly. Sheet-feeder is great; not one jam with a lot of slighly-ravaged originals having been fed in. Laser lamp does stay on all the time to shorten warm-up time; don't get it for your bedroom unless you put a power strip between it and the wall plug. Worth the money if for no other reason that you can't find even a great single-function copier at the price.

5 of 5 New Product, Easy to use Thursday, January 24, 2008
    A Customer from Oxford, OH
The first one I bought produced noises only without working. Buy.com sent another one in a reasonable period of time. The whole machine is really easy to use, but the A4 scale is slightly smaller than my A4 paper. Overall it is a good product

5 of 5 Great office machine Thursday, January 24, 2008
    A Customer from Binghamton, NY
Keeping in mind that this all in one only prints black you will love this space time saving work horse. It comes with on board (install the disk and drivers before you connect the printer) single click scan panel that follows the instruction path you wish. Running out of paper is no problem when your computer is off since the on-board memory can handle most faxes. We really like the capture save as .pdf because this saves us $100+ from buying document centers.

Excellent buy! Great working condition but only wish the product would print 2-sided to 2-sided pages without having to reload the paper tray. Controls are a bit tricky to follow. But, as a teacher, this product is an investment.

5 of 5 Better than HP Tuesday, December 25, 2007
    D from Grand Rapids, Mi
After having a ton of problems with HP printers in the last month I knew I had to go with Canon. It was a good idea. The printer works good and was an incredible value at $113 I paid. They even include a USB cable, what other printer manufactures do that? I checked the power consumption on "standby energy saver" and it is 12 watts, good enough for me and probably average for a fax machine that needs to watch for incoming faxes. I believe Canon is sneaking up on HP as the #1 printer maker.

5 of 5 An awsome buy Tuesday, December 11, 2007
A Customer from Van Nuys, CA
The imageCLASS MF5770 is a good value for money. Its relatively easier to setup, the printing and faxing is pretty quick scanning takes a while - but i think setting it up to a lower resolution will solve this. Overall its a very good small business or home printing/scanning/faxing solution :)

4 of 5 Great product for the price Monday, December 10, 2007
    A Customer from Seattle, WA
It's a great product especially for the price ($119) that I got it for. Buy.com had that special promotion price around Thanksgiving 2007. I have used both Canon and Brother printers in the past and I must say that Canon scores higher.

MF5770 is an effective laser all in one machine. It prints clear and fast. From the size point of view it's bit bulky though as compared to others in it's class. But again, I don't mind that much since I have enough room in my home office. This being a network printer, makes it quite useful for those planning to hook it up with multiple pcs/notebook. Another, benefit is that it can print Legal documents, which is not available on most others in this price range. I haven't had a chance to explore FAX options yet, but I trust that feature would work fine as well.

Pretty decent product overall for those looking to buy a all-in-one laser solution for their home / small business needs.

5 of 5 Great multifunction for the money Friday, December 07, 2007
    Kevin Dorsey-Tyler from Chico, CA
I bought this printer when on deep discount ($120 new, shipped). It is solidly built, prints quickly and cleanly and scans and faxes well. The printer set up for network and USB printing on Win XP and on Vista (network, did not try USB) without any trouble at all. As with most of the Canon devices, Linux support is pretty-well non-existent so I have to print via a Windows virtual machine from my Ubuntu workstation. The cartridges are long-lasting (around 3500 sheets) and cheap - as little as $30 each on the internet.

    5 of 5 Excellent Value! Friday, December 07, 2007
    C from Moonachie, NJ
So far so good. I purchased this printer for my parents for their home use and we are all absolutely delighted with it. Got this on Black Friday, and it was such an incredible deal that I just couldn't refuse it, and it was definitely well worth the $119 I paid. The setup was easy, the print speed is amazing, and the scanner+fax+copier functions are also easy to use. Everything about this product is intuitive and anyone can set it up and get it going right away. Also, I ordered this product (with free shipping) on a Friday and received it on that following Monday. Very fast delivery!! buy.com is tops!

4 of 5 Good buy for home use. Thursday, November 29, 2007
    A Customer from Pasadena, CA
I've only had this Canon for a couple months, but I haven't had any problems with it or any of its functions. Setup is easy; the manuals can guide you through it if you're not too familiar with the process. This machine does not have a manual feed tray, so each sheet or envelope must be inserted individually if you can't put them in the main tray. For the money, it's a good all-in-one if you don't need color and you're using it at home (or in a light-use work environment).

5 of 5 Very Good Value Wednesday, November 28, 2007
A Customer from Spring Valley, NY
This Multifunction device performs well in most respects. Print outs through the printer are fairly quick. Scanning takes a bit of time, but not an unusual amount. Faxing is quick and easy. Setting up the unit is quick and easy, too. A firmware update is required that may require some technical knowledge. Print output is accurate and legible. Minor issue with the lack of support bracket for manual feed tray - paper simply hangs down. Support for the multipage scans and faxes is there. Also, though power draw in energysaver mode is low, the scan light remains on (mostly blocked by document cover). Overall, the printer performs as expected with no big surprises and without too much noise.

5 of 5 Fast and reliable Sunday, November 25, 2007
    Michael from Edison, NJ
Great printer for a small business. I mostly use it for faxing/copying, but also some light printing over the network. It's extremely fast and easy to use, and laser printing is far cheaper than inkjet. If you don't need color, this printer is the one to go with. My only complaint is that I couldn't seem to set up network printing without using the CD that came with it (usually you can just find a network printer in "My Network Places" in Windows, but this one was nowhere to be found). It worked fine when I used the setup program that came on the CD.

5 of 5 Good Value if a little quirky to set-up Tuesday, September 25, 2007
    Steve from Orlando, FL
Overall the MFC is a good machine at a great price. The only hitch we came across was seting up as a network printer. At first, everything seemed just fine - with everyone able to print to the machine from different PCs. However, the next day, the machine was no where to be found on the network. So we re-installed the drivers on the PCs and everything was fine again. After the 3rd day of this routine, a call to tech support quickly revealed that the machine defaults to auto-assign an IP address. Since setting the IP address to a static setting all is good now.

    5 of 5 great copier Friday, May 25, 2007
    Pei from Rockville, MD
I ordered this for our office to use as our copier/fax. It's really easy to set up and it works really well. It's definitely worth it for the cost. We've got more that one set up though because there is the occasional paperjam. I think it's a good machine for small offices and personal use.
