I LOVE this scanner. It scans at lightning speeds. I scanned my 400 page home loan document package in probably 4 or 5 minutes. Amazing! I bought it after I tried to scan the loan docs in my HP Office Jet All-in-one scanner, which is slow as molasses. It took hours and it just kept crashing. I bought this scanner for my office as well. I'll keep my HP because I can scan pictures on its flat bed. The Cannon isn't a flat bed, so I guess it can't scan pictures. But it does do color, it does do legal size papers, which I need and it does do double sideded just as fast as a one-sided sheet of paper. Works perfectly with my Adobe Acrobat Professional and works alone. I can't say enough about how much I love this scanner! It's simplified, and sped up my life! Was this review helpful?

Not cheap, but it is just what I wanted. This is a fast, dual-sided scanner for light/medium duty use. Just insert page(s) and press scan. PDF conversion is quick. I use it mainly for documents which look good; can't speak for photos/images.

Bought one a year ago, bought another recently. Both have worked very well. Scans paper at laser printer speeds. We have done a lot of OCR scanning with it, and that has worked very well. Very easy to use. Included scanning software for images or OCR not needed if you use MS Office Professional built-in Document Imaging Software or Adobe Acrobat. I have been creating document imaging and data capture systems for 10 years and have dealt with many scanners. For the money, this is a great scanner. It has great paper handling - very few double feeds and a straight through paper path. I just bought my second one after owning a SCSI model for a few years. Was this review helpful?
