Features
All-New Close-Quarters Combat: In a new feature for the Call of Duty series, close-quarters battle mechanics Bring you face-to-face with your enemy. Fight hand-to-hand, disarm traps, improvise explosive devices, and execute a host of other battlefield challenges that require cunning and swift reflexes.
Choose Your Path to Victory: Flank your opponent, or hit him head on. Next-generation level design provides multiple attack routes that let you decide how to confront the enemy. Each choice you make requires you to use special tactics, from sniping and demolition to straight out frontal assaults.
Nowhere to Hide: Environmental physics let you destroy enemies' soft cover hideouts, such as wooden walls, barrels and crates - forcing your foes out in the open. But watch out - they can eliminate your protection as well.
Team-Based Multiplayer with Vehicles: Intense multiplayer functionality has been built from the ground up. Up to 24 players can battle it out as a variety of player classes, including riflemen, infantry, scouts, and others. The game's wide range of vehicles include tanks, jeeps and motorcycles with sidecars.
Unprecedented Combat Options: Execute parachute drops, armored assaults or SAS commando raids. Riddle battlefields with tank shells and explosives. Drive tanks to topple barricades and invade enemy emplacements.

Xbox 360 Review: Call of Duty 3

Call of Duty 3 is stuck in the position of doing everything a sequel should, but the genre continues to grow overcrowded. Online play can add the extra boost. Unfortunately, it's impossible to connect to a game. You'll spend most of your online time in a lobby waiting for a minimum of eight players (regardless of game mode chosen) to join. Those times are rare as other players are having the same issue on their end. ...read the full review

Game Chronicles 10 of 10
Call of Duty 3, has arrived and it's prepared to blow you away with some explosive gameplay, ultra-realistic graphics, incredible sound, and a few twists...Call of Duty 3 breaks new ground in several areas, both technically, and from a design perspective. Unlike last year's game where you bounced around from campaign to campaign, country to country, you now play a single campaign, the 1944 Normandy Breakout, one of the most crucial and brutal battles of WWII. Along with the US and British troops, Call of Duty 3 also introduces us to the Canadians and the Polish who also play vital roles in this campaign...The best thing I can say about Call of Duty 3 is that after playing I actually felt like I had been through a war. There were moments when I would catch myself physically ducking or leaning my body as I tried to look around a corner. I started to appreciate the men in my unit and a sense of loss when somebody was lost. Signing up and going off to war might not be for everybody, but playing this game will certainly make you respect those who did and those who still do. - Mark Smith
