I put an old 3.5" Hitachi 250GB drive in it. It works great via the USB port. Haven't tried the eSATA port yet. Hope it works with newer 1.5 or 2GB drives. Anybody tried? Was this review helpful?

While this unit works fine as a USB dock, its performance when connected via eSata is poor.
Using eSata, I have 1 Seagate 250GB drive that works fine in this dock, but 2 WD 500GB drives and 1 Samsung 250GB drive that aren't recognized when installed in the dock. Was this review helpful?

This device got all those 80 and 160 GB drives that were kicking around in the junk drawer back into circulation. Saved them from entering the e-trash stream. Works 100% as advertised. Quick to swap drives. Power supply is external, but not a wall wart. Power can be turned off with push button at the unit. For less than 20 bucks,a great deal. Was this review helpful?
