Good adaptor - worked well with a Toshiba laptop (15V setting). Haven't tried the other settings yet. Gets a bit warm, but only as much as any adaptor, not any more.
a little smaller than my old toshiba adaptor with a light that shows its working (nice feature).
only concern is how long the adaptor plugs will last - they seem a bit flimsy, but so far they've stayed put without a problem. But guess that will be the case with any universal adaptor ..

There are only a few tips included, and they fit ONTO another adapter....the whole thing begs to fall apart.
Voltage switch can easily be knocked off the wrong setting, could result in problems for your laptop.
Cables Unlimited denied the rebate on a minor technicality; don't count it into the price.

Unit works as expected. Don't notice any difference between it and the OEM included with the laptop after a week of use. A good alternative if you don't want to pay a premium for OEM.

it has lots of tips and u can adjust the voltage - i have to say that as useful as it is it does feel flimsy, as if the build quality is not great - and it is of concern as I have read that some of the units have failed. I needed it to test 2 laptops which were missing the power supply. For that is was ok and not worth spending 100 as with other units.
I ran both laptops perfect until charged and used them as well.

I purchased this laptop adapter back in June, 2008. Ran a bit hot right out of the box. Worked OK until today when it began to smell and then it died. Lasted all of 6 months. Not very good. Beware.

I was afraid about this adapter because I was not sure whether it will support my laptop or not? I bought this only because one of its power tip was matching with my laptop's adapter. I had HP DV6000 and this adapter worked fine for it.
If anybody have adapter of following specification, then he should be fine with Power tip "E" and output voltage setting to 19V DC. (Even if you need 18.5V you must set it to 19V, they have explanation in their product about this)

I bought this from Buy.com and was surprized with the quality. Good one to use,and has settings for all laptops (I am using it for Toshiba Satellite S3094) and range of voltage for every laptop. Comes with s many pins. Replaced my original one which came with Toshiba.
Only thing is the connecting to AC with SF106 is too loose and does not hold the weight of charger itself. I am thinking to apply tape on that. Gets hot after 4 to 5 hrs of use.
Rest all is just PERFECT!!!!!!!
I will recommend this to my friend for sure.

Worked perfectly on default settings right out of the box, we have an ACER, also tried it on an older HP with no trouble. Also charged the device I keep in my car that can jump your car when it goes dead, or air up tires. Pretty sweet :D

This is a great product. It replaced the damaged adapter that I had for my Acer laptop and saved me money. It comes packaged with a nice assortment of adapters and a simple switch allows you to adjust the output for your computer. In my case, the native tip was the one I needed and the voltage was already set to 19--couldn't have been easier: just plugged it in.

Used this adapter for a HP Pavilion Laptop ZX5000 with input power specification:
Operating voltage: 100–240 VAC RMS
Operating frequency range: 50 to 60 Hz AC
When powered by a DC source: 18.5 Vdc 6.5 Amp. Was able to power up the laptop at: 22 Vdc. NOTE: The laptop powered up at 22 Vdc and not 18 Vdc, because
the power adapter output current is rated at 5.5 Amps (max), but the laptop requires input current of 6.5 Amps. Used it to recharge the laptop battery. Worked fine!
