5 of 5 Great Product Monday, January 26, 2009 Jo from Park Rapids MN
this was a very good investment. I transferred all my files to my new computor in no time. It was so easy and this cable was about half the price of others I looked at. Was this review helpful?

Much easier to use than even the Microsoft Vista instructions led us to believe. Took just a few minutes to transfer everything from my son's old computer with XP to his new one with Vista. Set up all his accounts (MySpace, Facebook, online gaming, mail, etc.), address books, and user info/profiles seamlessly without having to reconfigure everything on his new machine. Comes with a disc, if you're transferring from XP, that machine uses the disc. Vista doesn't need the program, it can already recognize the transfer cable and can run it. Can't make it any easier, I don't think. Was this review helpful?

Ignore the instructions they are not even close to right. However the install is very simple. The product works great once installed. On my Vista PC the install took about 20 seconds with no driver disk, it was super fast and flawless. My Windows XP PC did require the driver disk. It was fairly simple though. Put the disk in and it will auto-run. You will get a menu that is not in the instructions at all. It will offer several choices for installing different cables. The Vista cable is mentioned by name and is an obvious choice as there are no other menu options with the word Vista in them. Once you click install and the install window begins it will appear to “freeze” and does so for several minutes, wait it out and it will install. Click finish and then you plug in the USB cable and again it says installing data transfer cable and appears to be doing nothing. Again, wait it out and it will install. It took me over five minutes to install the driver and then the cable. You would think a driver disk with only a few MB’s would install in seconds, not so. I was amazed at just how long it took to install but once installed it works GREAT! Buy it! Was this review helpful?
