I bought this product in order to use the (USB only) print server feature on a new router with an old HP Laser Jet 2100. I went with the female connector to allow me to keep the original printer cable in the chain and thus have the flexibility of having my printer more than 6ft. away from the router.
Everything is working just as expected.

The cable worked well the first time I hooked up my old HP 720 series printer to my new laptop using Windows Vista. Although the instructions specify a more complicated installation than needed, all I had to do is plug it in and it installed itself. Was this review helpful?
