The TruLinkā„¢ 4-Port USB and PS2 KVM Switch enables a user to control up to four computers with a single keyboard, mouse, and monitor. For added convenience, this KVM switch works with both USB and PS2 mice and keyboards. Because the TruLink USB/PS2 KVM Switch also features a 3-port USB 2.0 hub (1-port if you are using a USB keyboard and mouse), any of the four connected computers can also share USB 2.0 devices.

The sleek design of the KVM prevents clutter and saves space on a desktop, while the durable metal housing construction featuring rubberized ends protects the unit from damage. The unit is able to handle even the most power-hungry devices with support from the external power adapter or bus power if it is prefered. LED status indicators on the front take the guesswork out of which computer is selected. Best of all, it comes with all the cables that are needed, meaning there is nothing extra to buy!

5 of 5 Works with Microsoft Wireless Desktop 7000 !!! Sunday, November 16, 2008
A Customer from Central, New Jersey

Works perfectly better than any other desktop KVM I've used. I tried an Avocent switch with HDMI and audio switching and Vista / XP just wouldn't auto detect the resolution of wide screen monitors, so I was forced back to good ol' VGA. I was concerned that my new Microsoft Wireless Laser 7000 desktop wouldn't work because it has a USB radio transmitter, but it works perfectly with this switch. The only quirk of this switch is that you have to manually enable the USB switching by holding down one of the buttons after a first boot up or reboot. It's in the paper directions - but of course, I didn't read the directions right out of the box. And this unit comes with cables for a fantastic price. With the cables though, the KVM switch ends are different from the Avocent switches, so pay close attention to the male/female DB15 pictures if you're buying longer cables to supplement this switch kit. I found out the hard way that Radio Shack doesn't have female gender benders on the website or any of the stores. When is Fry's coming to the east coast? ;) Very solidly built. Works well with mixed Vista and XP workstations and laptops.

5 of 5 Works Great! Tuesday, May 27, 2008
A Customer from Daytona Beach, FL
Order came in record time and it was complete with cables. Plugged everything in, booted the computers and everything worked perfectly. Very pleased with the unit and the quality. No problems whatsoever. I use a wireless keyboard and mouse and it functions with all computers, no problems, no lag. This unit does everything it says it will do!

4 of 5 Great KVM Wednesday, October 03, 2007
Jerry from Colorado
Works well. Am using it with PS2 mouse and keyboard. It switches quickly between ports, and it doen't induce mouse-elepsy, like with my more expensive NTI KVM (the mouse location randomly moves to a corner of the screen). The only downside to this unit is that it takes about 30-60 seconds during startup for Windows to recognize that the mouse and keyboard are USB. This happens with Dell PCs as well as generic PCs (both are running XP).

5 of 5 Best KVM purchased in a long time. Thursday, July 26, 2007
Kirk from Atlanta, GA
We have over 20 KVM's, most 2-port but a handfull of 4 an 8 ports in our office, everyone has 2-5 computers - HP and Dell desktops and IBM & Dell laptops. This KVM works great especially with the new Dells & T60 laptops which don't have PS/2 ports, made the old KVM's useless. Tried my USB optical mouse with a PS/2 adaptor on this KVM but the movement was delayed, so I switched it to direct connect into the USB hub and turned on autosync, works perfect now but mouse "jumps" between active computers as you switch. Also, hot keys are Scroll-Lock, Scroll-Lock 1-4 (PS/2 ports) and Q-R (USB hub). -H to enable/disable autosync. Beats other KVM's that use Ctrl, Ctrl which end up eating many Ctrl-C, Ctrl-V commands. Excellent build quality. Computer cables are integrated port on KVM side, split VGA and USB port on computer side. Monitor VGA, Keyboard PS/2, Mouse PS/2 and 3 front USB 1.1 ports. All PS/2 and USB ports connect to the computer through the one USB connection per computer, but PS/2 devices are "kept alive" on every computer regardless of focus - however all USB devices are active on only one PC at a time.

4 of 5 KVM works great ... USB Hub still a mystery Tuesday, June 12, 2007
Steve from NY, NY
As far as being a KVM Switch, this couldn't be better. Works better than both of the older Belkin devices I have/had (one died). Plugged right in and was ready to spin. Added units on the fly with no problem or need to reboot. I am however, still confused by the use of the hub. It seems to only connect to the PC plugged in to PC1. Manual does explain it use very well. BUT I bought it as a KVM and for that it's the best I've ever had

4 of 5 Works on FreeBSD, Linux, and Windows! Saturday, March 10, 2007
A Customer from Omaha, NE
I got this so I didn't have to use separate mice: a PS/2 for the KVM port and my Linux/FreeBSD boxes and a USB IntelliMouse Explorer for my Windows box. When I would use the Windows box I would be happy, because I was using the Forward/Backward button on my mouse. When I was in FreeBSD I was sad, because I missed those features on my mouse. Now, I can use the Intellimouse on all my boxes! It's fun. Gotchas that I ran into: I had USB shut off in the BIOS on both of my *NIX boxes. I thought, "Hey, I'll never need this!" so I shut ti off many moons ago. So, make sure you turn USB on in your BIOS. Also, make sure you didn't shut off USB in your kernel configuration. For the USB mice to work, you need to plug it into the USB hub in the front, then enable USB auto switching. This means that every time you switch boxes your USB hub will now be moved over to the box you are looking at. It's fine except your Windows box will make that "Dee Dunck" sound every time you switch to/from it because it's seeing the USB mouse and then seeing it disappear. You get used to it, but I didn't know that would happen. It includes cables, but they aren't terribly long, so make sure you have all your boxes close to each other. That's all I can say about it. I love it. Oh--no ghosting whatsoever in my monitor. It looks like a direct connection. I'm happy with this purchase.

5 of 5 Great Product Tuesday, October 10, 2006
A Customer from Houston, TX
I have been using this KVM for a couple of weeks now. It works great. I researched many of the KVM's available. This one was the best value for what you get. It includes the cables which not all of them do. It works as described. The usb hub is a nice feature also since I use a USB mouse.

5 of 5 Best 4-port USB KVM Thursday, February 23, 2006
Rob D. from Portland, OR
We have 4 of these for our desktop support crew. They do what others won't, for less money. You can switch the KVM, and leave the USB port connected to the original...a nice feature, if you use a USB flash drive or HDD. They are only USB 1.1 ports though. The units almost never lose connectivity, and the featuer set is only missing DVI support, hopefully they will come out with a new model with USB 2.0, and dual DVI for split-LCD setups. That would be great!

5 of 5 Amazing kvm switch. It will what many other dont Monday, June 06, 2005
Joao from Boca Raton, FL
I've bought this Cables To Go kvm switch 1 one week ago. It really rocks. I have a usb keyboard, plus usb camera, and some home computers that I am sharing between my monitors. It took me 10 minutes to configure it properly. Everything is working fine. Disadvantages 1. Does not have the software switch for mac, and linux. That's a problem when you have USB keyboards, the control keys dont work. 2. I tried to configure USB switching thru the "press for 2 seconds" method. It didnot work. The control method worked fine though.
