I got the Converter today and so far it is working great however I had to change the setting on my computer for the right resolutions. Picture will not show if you do not change this setting. Also not good for viewing web page text however it maybe that way because I'm not using a s-video cord. Over all it works good for online tv shows, videos movies and pictures. So many times we do something on the computer either from a program or a simple slideshow that doesn't translate to record on a VCD or a DVD or that you simply want to share with someone without a computer or to keep for future viewing even after you don't have access to the program, etc. I easily hooked my laptop to my DVD recorder on my TV, played my quicktime movies and recorded them without having to buy a Converter program; I have made many fun Smilebox Creations (from the Smilebox.com website) and in addition to sending them to others, I easily played all of them on my computer while recording them onto a DVD or VHS tape through my TV so I can share with my daughter who doesn't own a computer and has no Internet access. For years I have wanted something that would allow me to record what I see on my computer screen so I was delighted when I saw this at an incredible price. I have Incredimail's free Magentic Screensaver which is really neat to watch; now I can record it for a few minutes or a couple of hours and play it on my TV like a screensaver for all to enjoy, with or without sound Was this review helpful?

My laptop does not have a video or S-video port and I had been looking for a PC to TV converter for some time when this one went on sale at Buy.com. I've been very happy with the device. It's display is sharp enough for images, but not for small text. Was this review helpful?
