we own three usb extenders used in different locations, they all function ok, but i have this one on my personal desk, the biggest benefit is the four rear ports for the things that remain plugged in all the time, they took my desktop from looking like amess of cords to very neat and organized looking, althought sometimes it's not. functions perfectly with or without external power supply, have had no problems, does have tranformer like they all do and this may be the weak link, use daily and hasn't missed a beat. so far great product and construction. On the plus side, the front three ports are spaced liberally enough to allow you to plug in just about anything to each port (a big problem on many "mini" hubs). The supplied A/C power cord is also nice - you don't have to pull power from your system (although it will work fine without it).
The hub itself is very solid, well built and works without issue. The problem lies in how to keep the thing from moving all over the place and getting it to stay put. Was this review helpful?

I purchased this hub to mount on my bench for ease of connectivity. It is really a great hub. It is sturdy and the port placement is perfect. I have had as many as 5 devices plugged in at one time and nothing has dropped off. That is more than I can say for the last 3 hubs I have purchased. I would highly recommend this product. This was a great solution for two main issues I was having with my laptop:
1. Not enough USB ports; and
2. Cords everywhere.

This has been a great purchase/product. Since I'm limited on desk space, I like being able to mount the hub to the wall for easy access yet still be able to slide it off the mount to take it with me.
The blue light is distracting so I put a small sticker over it to limit the amount of light emitted. Overall it is very easy to use - plug and play. I'd recommend it to anyone with limited USB ports. Was this review helpful?
