5 of 5 Extremely Happy with my HUB Wednesday, October 22, 2008
benek from Lansford PA

Best hub ever !! Had quite a few in the past - always had prob with dead ports or connections or were so fragile and light. This is a solid unit. I was surprised how heavy and well built it is and particularly the small size. I don't understand the concern many have/had with the blue light that's emitted. I kinda like it - lets me know that my puters still on when I need to take a bathroom break in the middle of the nite. Have four 2.0 ports on back of my puter and two up front, all were filled by my 2 printers; 2 label machines; mouse sensor; joystick; winTV; cable modem. Tried to extend my ports with the purchase of Belkin, Linksys or other hubs, but none of them worked all the time. So far, this unit has not failed me. Great Buy.

5 of 5 Very satisfied overall Tuesday, April 22, 2008
Michael from Berkeley, CA
Mouse, Webcam w/ mic, printer, digital camera and Nokia cell work flawlessly over it for 4 months now. But Microsoft LX-3000 produces static noise in its headphones that disappear when connected directly (to my Dell Inspiron 8600). When connecting USB devices for the first time ever to your Windows PC, it is advisible to do so directly (without hub) - otherwise the new hardware detection might not be triggered. Not a single case that connecting/disconnecting the hub or turning on/off of my laptop gave any issue. BTW I'm not using the external power supply.

5 of 5 Best USB 7 port hub I've had!!! Friday, January 04, 2008
BruceWRay from Glenville, NY
The hub is nicely set up with three downstream ports in the front and four downstream in the back. The power connector and the upstream connection are also on the back, which makes the layout of this hub almost perfect. I have had 5 different 7 port hubs from another manufacturer costing approximately $45.00, and have had problems with 4 of the 5. (I think the only reason I haven't had any problems with the 5th one is because it's still in the original package!) I purchased two of these at one time, and one of them burned out within a couple of months. I threw it away. When the second one went bad about six months later, I did some research and found the company had a lifetime warranty on the hub. I returned it, and they sent me another. I had that about 5 months, and it also went bad. When I returned the second one I went to a local office supply store and bought their store brand. That one is still working fine, but the layout of the hub (two ports accessible from the top, five at the back, and the power and upstream connectors on either end of the football-shaped hub) is difficult to arrange on a desk without wires everywhere. As you can see from my rating (5 of 5), I'm very impressed by this hub. It runs cooler than my store brand (and the other 7 port hub), it looks cool, has three ports for portable drives at the front, and is more esthetically pleasing. I have had no problems with any USB devices (I've had all 7 ports occupied - four with portable hard disk drives!), and no power issues or overheating. I highly recommend this device for anyone looking for a 7 port USB hub. I purchased this hub for work, and will purchase another when I am redoing my home computer room setup.

5 of 5 A steal! Friday, December 14, 2007
B.K. Seo from Wayne, NJ
I bought this item when it was on sale. You get the hub along with 3 USB cable(which was shipped later than the hub). The hub is sleek and of solid quality and very easy to carry around as well as easy to mount on the included metal base(I don't use the base though). Most 6 ft USB cables going at $10, this is a real deal if you have or plan to purchase USB devices. Also good for those old peripherals sold without USB cable(i.e. printers with both Parallel & USB ports).

2 of 5 Works But... Thursday, December 13, 2007
fivetenets from Central VA
If I don't disconnect this from the computer (HP using XP SP2) before turning the computer on, the computer won't turn on. So I have to disconnect the cable from the hub first. Once the computer is on, I can reconnect the hub. But if I forget, then I have start all over. I don't have this problem with the Belkin USB 2.0 7-Port Economy Hub I bought the very same day. The only thing this system had going for it (and why I bought it) was it came with three sets of cables which I needed as buy.com was back ordered (and had been for over a week on three of the four Belkin Gold Series Hi-Speed USB 2.0 Cable I had ordered the week before (and still three weeks later only one of them has arrived).

5 of 5 Great Hub! Wednesday, November 28, 2007
Gerry from Trumbull, CT
This hub is awesome, even though it is just a hub. It is light weight, portable, has 7 ports, and runs cool. I have not noticed any heat buildup. Also, 3 ports are in front and 4 ports in back make it easy to hook in printers and such from the back, but leave the front open for eash flash drive access. Nice that for the price it comes with the AC adapter to ensure you have enough power to handle whatever you plug into the hub. Looks good on my desk too without taking up a bunch of room.

5 of 5 Very happy with the hub Wednesday, November 28, 2007
Tonya from Durham, NC
This hub is perfect, fast, compact and I love the fact that you can mount it and still detach for portability with no problem. Transfer rate is very good and provides plenty of usb connections. I also was very please to know that you can expand the number of usb connections by piggybacking multiple hubs of this type.

5 of 5 Hub + Cables - great deal! Wednesday, November 28, 2007
Dave K. from Laguna Niguel, CA
I was looking for a hub and I also needed a 6ft USB cable -- when I ordered this hub, I also received the USB cable I was looking for as well as two more cables. All for a price less than what other hubs are going for without cables. The hub works great -- no problems at all...and I dig the blue light.

5 of 5 Easy! Wednesday, November 28, 2007
Jeannie from Hillsborough, NJ
Easy to set up, easy to use, and attractive. I had previously bought an inexpensive 7 port hub with lots of flashing LEDs, but half the time I plugged anything into it, it would act as if I were using USB 1.1 instead of 2.0, or it wouldn't be able to recognize the device on. I've had no problems with this hub on either my VISTA or XP computer. The ports are also spaced widely enough apart that there's no problem plugging anything into it.

5 of 5 Great for PC and Mac Wednesday, November 28, 2007
Mark from Little Rock, AR
I purchased two hubs, one for a PC at home running Vista, and one for an iMac at church. The hubs work great on both computers. No software set-up was necessary. Using the accessory power supply allows me to charge my iPod with the computer off and not worry about iTunes wanting to access the iPod. The 4 back ports work great for plugging in peripherals that stay plugged in all of the time, like printers, leaving the 3 front ports accessible for USB flash drives, etc. The extra USB ports are really handy, especially for and iMac that only comes with about 3 ports anyway. And the 4 ports on the back of newer PC's are quickly used up by the mouse, th
