5 of 5 Replaced Nod w/ CA Tuesday, September 25, 2007 A Customer from Reidsville, NC
Had Nod for years and always thought it was the best-----until I got Vista. Tried CA and no more Nod. I think it's the best all around security for Vista. Cons = none for me and about the same cost as Nod. Suggest "try before you buy". Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Mixed result Tuesday, September 25, 2007 A Customer from Red Bank, NJ
This product works perfectly with Windows XP and the firewall does not work with Windows Vista. I can not connect to internet if I enable the CA firewall. Now I have to disable CA fire wall and use Vista firewall. Was this review helpful?

3 of 5 Flash drive great... software NOT Tuesday, September 25, 2007 A Customer from Cincinnati, OH
I got this free after rebate, so it's hard to give it a poor "Value" rating when you get a nice 2 gig flash disk with the product, but the software was a disaster for me. I loaded it onto a brand new Core 2 Quad Vista Home Premium system loaded with RAM, and I started having all sorts of problems. I should disclaim that so far I've been anything but happy with Vista and its stability and speed, and it's possible that some of the CA Suite problems are actually Vista problems, but the two didn't work together well for me. After massive stability problems in IE and inexplicable system slowdowns that would bring all network related activity to a near dead stop on this fast quad core system, I ended up uninstalling everything but the AntiVirus portion of the suite. It seems to be running fine now that I'm only using this one module. The firewall had some nice features, but they were overshadowed by a ludicrous number of prompts for permission. Anyone who's not computer literate would get NO protection from this firewall because they'd have no idea when to approve or deny a request for an action, and I'll bet they'd just start clicking the "OK" button to get the barrage of dialogs out of their face. If you're willing to wade through this deluge of dialogs every time you go to a new web page, you may find the firewall and privacy features useful, but it's anything but convenient to get things set up correctly. The AntiVirus module appears to be working, and the license for up to 3 computers is nice in this day of software vendors wanting to lock down everything you buy on one computer (who has just one computer these days?... certainly nobody that I know!), so if you're looking for a lot of control over your privacy and the websites you visit, and if you don't run into the hideous incompatibility problems that I ran into while trying to get this to work with Vista, you sure can't beat the after-rebate price on this package, especially with the 2 gig flash disk! 5 of 5 Super compact flash drive Wednesday, August 15, 2007 Andrew from Cerritos, CA
The best part is the flash drive. It's about the size of my fingernail and credit card thin.
The CA Internet Security Suite is also very comprehensive, which includes anti-virus, anti-spyware, anti-spam, and personal firewall...all of which don't take up much of the computer's resources.
Even if you're not interested in the software, get it for the flash drive. ;) Was this review helpful?
3 of 4 customers found this review helpful. 5 of 5 Very Good Deal Thursday, July 26, 2007 creddy at rochester rr com from Rochester, NY
This is a great little drive and software suite - works as advertised, from one of the leaders in AV software - very nice that it includes licenses for 3 computers. The flash drive is quick, tiny and very useful! Highly recommended. Was this review helpful?
