| | Album Notes and Credits | Notes & Personnel Info | | German youngsters with anime hair, Tokio Hotel look and sound like a pop act from a science fiction film. Androgynous singer Bill Kaulitz wails their pre-fab emo-goth confections with the total conviction that comes from being 19 years old. It's no surprise that this album is already a smash throughout Europe. Choruses that drip with youthful passion, and radio-friendly hooks and production, are splashed all over SCREAM, and the title track is a prime example of the band's bailiwick. Whether Tokio Hotel is just a boy band in Hot Topic clothes remains to be seen, but they're certainly on to something. |
| | Artist Overview | | Tokio Hotel is a German alternative rock band with glam and emo influences. Singer Bill Kaulitz, guitarist Tom Kaulitz, bassist Georg Listing, and drummer Gustav Schaefer formed the band in 2001 under the name Devilish. Following a name change and a brief, abortive deal with Sony BMG, the quartet changed their name to Tokio Hotel and released their first album, SCHREI, in 2005. ZIMMER 483, their 2007 sophomore album, was followed the next year by the group's first English-language album, SCREAM, featuring remakes of tracks from both German releases. |

| | Professional Reviews | | Rolling Stone (p.66) - 3.5 stars out of 5 -- "The taut power-trio arrangements mix the whisper-to-a-scream dynamics of post-grunge with glam-rock chords and a big dollop of emo's teen psychodrama." |
