5 of 5 An excellent addition to the gamer's home network! Tuesday, February 03, 2009 Matthew Gerber from Santa Maria, CA
This device is a miracle in a tiny package. When we upgraded our home network to handle multiple computers, we went with Apple's Airport Extreme base station (802.11N) as the backbone of our setup. Previously we shared an 802.11G connection through an iMac with an Airport Extreme card with our Nintendo DS and Wii. The Nintendo DS cannot support the high speed wireless connection, so we have lived without Nintendo Wi-Fi access on the DS for quite some time. We gave our son and daughter their own DS systems for Christmas 2008, and decided that we really wanted the online and local wi-fi play options available, so we researched and purchased this device. It works wonderfully! Truly plug-and-play, it configures itself on the network and creates a sub-network compatible with the DS. Also, it uses the no hassle AOSS protocol, so adding a device to the network is as simple as pushing the button on the top of the unit and watching it connect! A beautiful, compact, well thought out time and hassle saver, and highly recommended. Was this review helpful?
