    I bought 3 for work and one for home. Quick easy setup RAID5! Media server works great. What can I say? Out of four units (16 HDDs) I had 1 hard drive error out. It emailed me and displayed on the LCD screan. By the time I decided to do anything about it, it had reset the drive and rewrote the RAID on its own. I highly recomend this item!

    I bought this after trying and (returning) the infamous Netgear 101. I couldn't be happier with the Terrastation. It's fast, easy to set up, easy to manage, quiet, and reliable. I wish I had purchased before I even looked at the cheaper alternatives. Buy cheap and buy twice!

    The product worked right out of the box. All of my networked machines can see it. Easier to network than any of my XP machines which often cannot find each other. So far a great buy. The backup software is sufficient but not as robust as I may want. I have found a work around though and all is close to good.

    Just got it not too long ago, took me less than an hour to set it up, and reformat just in case there are any factory stuff lingering. This unit is running smoothly, and quietly in the corner of my home office. I'm a little surprised at how quiet it operates as well as how little space it takes up. Quite convenient and efficient consdering it's replacing a server pc i used to have as a datastore. The interface is easy to use and the unit is easy to setup. Lots of built in features. Now, just down to the task of setting up folders and who has access and whatnot. Media Center capabilities, I thought it was going to connect to my PS3 easily and quickly, but I was wrong. I'm still trying to figure out how to use this as a media center and using my PS3 to tap into it. We'll see... I hope I don't have to go out and buy the buffalo linkstation, or whatever it was they were trying to sell to complement this product. I was hesitant to purchase this unit since all the bad reviews out there about customer service from buffalo is bad, or there's no support or RMA support. I hope this is not true, but I'm hoping my luck will prevent me from having to RMA this. Crossing fingers.... Overall, so far, i'm satisfied with my purchase. It came quickly from buy.com.

    I got my 1 GB Terastation about 3 weeks ago. Operation is as simple as it gets, almost plug and play. I didn't use the provided software as I try to keep my computer as clean as possible. Once the TS showed it's IP address on the display I connected to it and did all the configuration. Pretty simple. This thing is working quietly in the background, the only thing you hear is the hard drives when you access the information. Access speed is now limited by my router, so I will upgrade it soon. The rest of the family is also happy with it, now there is one central storage location for all the files, music and movies. I would highly recommend the Terastation to everyone who needs a safe and reliable storage solution.
