    4 of 5 Nice printer but bulky software Tuesday, November 27, 2007

    I got this label printer to replace a Seiko Label Printer. The printer works well and it is easy to change the labels, but the software really needs work. It is fine if you are using the plug-ins for Word or Outlook, but if you want to create a new label for one-time use it is a pain. The Seiko had a one-click interface and you could just start typing the label or cut and paste and edit from there. This printer requires that you open a program, pick the label type and go through a lot of clicks before you even get to the label. That's why I only gave it a 4. Re-write the software and it could easily be a 5...

    The Brother QL-550 is an excellent office addition. Takes up little space and is totally user friendly. No more ruined 8x11 sheets of expensive labels.
