A beloved character created by dePaola comes to life in spectacular pop-up art engineered by the "New York Times"-bestselling team of Sabuda and Reinhart. In six spreads, Strega Nona shares her words of wisdom for leading a magical life, making for a glorious celebration of important values.

Annotation:
Tomie dePaola's classic character Strega Nona leaps off the page in Robert Sabuda and Matthew Reinhart's tidy pop-up. Big Anthony makes a splash in a big wave of pasta, and lots of references to family abound. With bright, simple art, this is aimed at younger children. Tomie dePaola is the author of countless books for children.

Author Bio

Even as a child, pop-up master Robert Sabuda was interested in this difficult art form: his creation of a pop-up WIZARD OF OZ for his mother was the precursor of a wildly successful career. Many years later, Sabuda revisited that project, and in November 2000 he published a bestselling pop-up version of WIZARD OF OZ. Sabuda earned a B.F.A. from the Pratt Institute in 1987, and is best known for his various Christmas pop-ups, as well the opulent, informative Encyclopedia Prehistorica series.
