After decades of exercising your thumbs, Nintendo moves to your minds

Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day for Nintendo DS is a fun, rewarding form of entertainment everyone can enjoy, as it helps players flex their mental muscles. Brain Age is inspired by the research of Professor Ryuta Kawashima, a prominent Japanese neuroscientist. His studies evaluated the impact of performing certain reading and mathematic exercises to help stimulate the brain.

Baby Boomers and test-prepping school kids alike want to challenge themselves and find ways to stay sharp. Brain Age acts like a treadmill for the mind. With the simplicity of the Nintendo DS, and Brain Age's challenging and rewarding exercises, everyone can stimulate their DS brain, improving speed and accuracy of their game play.

5 of 5 a good brain work out Wednesday, April 02, 2008
thomasaleeds from chicago, IL

I bought Brain Age 1 & 2 and flash focus to exercise mine and my wife's brains. I bought the DS light just for these games, millions of these things have been sold and it seems like all our nieces and nephews have them but even for adults, with the right game, it is a lot of fun. The DS unit is a nice size and handy to have on a trip or waiting around for something and the 3 games I mentioned are surprisingly effective. Only complaints are that the speech and handwriting recognition are not quite up to snuff but it is basically a toy

5 of 5 Can't talk to my wife when she plays! Saturday, January 19, 2008
Todd from Columbus Grove, OH
Great game - requires total concentration. My wife plays every nite - I'm not allowed to talk to her when she's playing! Everyone in the family enjoys it and competes for the best scores!

4 of 5 Don't get Addicted to... Monday, January 14, 2008

My son my wife and I got addicted to this game.We like it also for multi player mode. Voice response and write pad response sometime annoying. May be it's Nintendo DS fault. Definately it's a family game and non violence.

5 of 5 everyone can play this! Thursday, December 27, 2007
Kristen Gonzlaes from Keizer, OR
I bought this for my son for Christmas. He also received Chess, Transformers, and Sims ... this is his game of choice. He has even complained about getting a "school game," but again ... this is his GAME OF CHOICE! When I can sneak up behind him to see what he's playing this is the one ... I also bought Brain Age II. They are both a hit!! I even get to play ... they think I'm pretty smart. LOL

5 of 5 I'm remembering more everyday Sunday, December 16, 2007
A Gamer from Calabasas, California
I also wanted a Nintendo DS just to play Brain Age & it's certainly worth it. If you do 3 tasks each day - it's about 15/20 min of effort & it's fun. I feel like I'm using my brain a little differently everyday. Plus I loved the added Sudoku feature. You can even let your friends test out the game - without setting up an entire profile. Everyone should try this.

5 of 5 Gaming has turned a corner Wednesday, October 04, 2006
Samas from Elizabethtown, PA
Who would have thought that something so simple as math puzzles, memory games, and word play could be so fun and addicting. I bought my Nintendo DS many reasons, one of them being to see if this game was all they said it was. Answer: yes it is. My MOTHER loved this game. She has never picked up a video game controller in her life (except maybe back in the late 80s to play Tetris once or twice) and yet I couldn't tear her away from this amazing simplistic piece of software. It's fun, it's good for you, and it's only 20 dollars. The way gaming should be.
