Many believers struggle with confusion about appropriate behavior in relationships. "Boundaries Groupware presents a biblical view of what boundries are, what they protect, and how to develop, repair, and use them. By learning to set limits, participants will become more productive, creative, and better servants of God. Based on the bestselling, award-winning book, this curriculum is designed for use with groups of all sizes and utilizes the proven "group-interactive" format. With brief video dramatizations and discussion starters by Drs. Cloud and Townsend, "Boundaries provides everything needed to conduct 9 sessions.

Annotation:
This title examines boundaries from a biblical perspective. The authors, who define boundaries as the imaginary "lines" that exist between the limits of our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual duties, discuss how these boundaries have broken down and offer a routine for creating and maintaining healthy limits in relation to God and fellow human beings.

A Day in a Boundaryless Life

6:00 A.M.

The alarm jangled. Bleary-eyed from too little sleep, Sherrie shut off the noisy intruder, turned on the bedside lamp, and sat up in bed. Looking blankly at the wall, she tried to get her bearings.

Why am I dreading this day? Lord, didn't you promise me a life of joy?

Then, as the cobwebs left her mind, Sherrie remembered the reason for her dread: the four-o'clock meeting with Todd's third-grade teacher. The phone call returned to her memory: "Sherrie, this is Jean Russell. I wonder if we could meet about Todd's performance and his ... behavior."

Todd couldn't keep still and listen to his teachers. He didn't even listen to Sherrie and Walt. Todd was such a strong-willed child, and she didn't want to quench his spirit. Wasn't that more important?

"Well, no time to worry about all that," Sherrie said to herself, raising her thirty-five-year-

5 of 5 Very good source book for professionals and lay pe Wednesday, October 01, 2008
Faithful Reader from Mooresville, IN

This re-issued book, originally published in 1992, is a standard "go-to" when dealing with boundary issues. Often recommended by professionals, it also can stand alone as a ready, easy to read and well thought out guide to creating and maintaining healthy boundaries in a variety of situations. The subject refers not only to easy to spot situations, but also addresses more subtle, but equally difficult issues that we may not even recognize. The excerpts from the lives of those who are living without healthy boundaries are eye opening. The NIV references are relevant and easy to apply to the subject. I have found myself re-reading Boundaries over the years as the need arises. This book reminds me to stay on track and stay in control of my life, even when the world is pressing in. In short, everyone should read this book at least once. You will be surprised to find how often you recognize yourself in the examples. I also recommend Boundaries in Marriage and other books by the authors. I personally own several and have loaned them out many times.

This is a great book to help people understand and implement healthy boundaries. If you have ever felt like you were manipulated into doing something that you didn't want to do or made to feel guilty for not doing something some wanted you to do,then this is the book for you. It helps people to recognize when they don't have healthy boundaries & what to do about it.
