I wanted a small radio music system that offered good sound and was easy to use. The Duo-i fits all my requirements. The sound is very good and it is very straight forward to program and use. I liked it so much, I purchased a 2nd unit for my office.
The FM radio is able to pull in stations with the internal antenna that my previous stereo could not get with a external antenna.

I originally was shopping for the Bose or the I-Sonic because of sound quality but I just couldn't break myself with 500 for an alarm clock.
I found the BA and it fit the bill in everything I was looking for. It sounded GREAT, had rock solid features and it was a great price here at buy.com.
It's not a bose...but its also not a ridiculously ankle-grabbing price and its packed full of features. I highly - highly recommend this radio!

This system is easy to set up and use. It has incredible sound - better than many shelf systems out there. It really fills the room with sound and looks great. The only thing to be wary of is the compatibility with older iPods - my Classic 3G was not compatible and neither was my 1G mini. The new 4G Nanos come with a dock adapter in the box that fits this perfectly, though.
Oh yeah, and the AM/FM tuner works well, picking up some signals that other radios can't.
I'd recommend this to anyone wanting better quality sound than most iPod speaker systems out there. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Good bang for the buck! Monday, December 08, 2008 A Customer from Lafayette Hill, PA
Compared to other radios (I-Sonic, Cambridge) this radio does a great job with the iPod. It sounds great and is very easy to use. It does have an strange odor which I hope will dissipate over time. The snooze bar does not work with just s simple touch--it needs to be held for a few seconds before the radio recognizes the touch. It is small enough to fit most night tables. For the price ($150), I couldn't find a better value. Was this review helpful?

I have been looking for a stereo radio that could play my Ipod for quite a while. My previous radio played my Ipod, but the light was so bright that we had to cover it during the night. The Boston Acoustics has a brightness control that allows us to make it more comfortable for sleep. There are so many options on this radio that they are hard to list, but they are all convenient.
Bass is great on the unit, along with ability to play radio, Ipod and two other devices via aux. input connections. Radio tunes great, for both AM and FM. 10 presets on FM is very handy, as are the 5 presets for AM.
For the price, this was an excellent buy; I will consider Boston Acoustics products more in the future because of this radio. Was this review helpful?
