2 of 5 Consider A Different Model Tuesday, May 01, 2007
Steve from Stillwater, OK

The price and specifications seem right at first glance. The price is what sold me. However the performance and user interface are severely lacking. The TV tuner function was a selling point for me, however the unit does not use 'channels' as you or I are used it, instead relying on the actual frequency. So finding a channel is not a simple matter. When the unit searches for channels, it tends to overshoot the frequency a bit so that when you revisit a saved channel, you have to do some fine tuning. The unit also seems slow to respond to inputs, both on the touch screen and on the remote. Selecting features on a DVD menu are not as simple as touching the desired feature. Instead, you touch the screen and then a menu pops up with directional arrows that you use to navigate and select. MP3 reproduction didn't sound as well as my factory stereo and the selection of MP3 files is cumbersome and requires to you take your eyes off the road for quite a bit. What it does best, I suppose is to play DVD videos. It manages to do this feat quite well. If you can save up a couple of hundred extra for a Pioneer or kenwood, you may be much Happier.
