| | | Thy kingdom come, thy will be done. Features: DVD Thou shalt not kill. It's the one commandment they cannot keep. Tough, stylish and extreme, fans of Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction will thrill to the action, intensity and intelligence of the modern day morality tale written in blood. Starring Willem Dafoe (The English Patient), Sean Patrick Flannery (Powder) and Norman Reedus (8MM). When the sadistic Russian mob starts muscling in on their South Boston Irish neighborhood, Conner and Murphy McManus know what must be done. Feeling that the vengeance of God is flowing through their veins, they set out to rid the streets of gangsters, criminals and lowlifes. As the body count rises, the brothers become local heroes. Now, one unorthodox FBI agent must be cunning enough to bring them down.
 Editor's Note
Fraternal twins Conner (Flanery - SUICIDE KINGS) and Murphey (Reedus - GOSSIP) MacMannus are on a mission from God to rid Boston of crime. However, instead of signing up for the police force, these hard-drinking Irish-American brothers take the law into their own hands a la Charles Bronson in DEATH WISH. Heralded as saints by the city's beleaguered residents, the brothers also attract the attention of Paul Smecker (Dafoe - EXISTENZ), the openly gay FBI special agent assigned to investigate the spate of killings amongst the ranks of the Russian mafia. First-time director Duffy pulls out all the breaks in this inventive, action-packed thriller sure to please fans of HARD BOILED and RESERVOIR DOGS.

This is, in my opinion, the best movie ever made... I've watched it almost as many times as I have watched the Matrix, but I'm sure that will change soon enough. This movie rocks. Was this review helpful?

It is like pulp fiction in that it is kind of a roundabout movie. ALSO don't miss the deleted scenes/joke outtakes. Good stuff. They don't post it but this DVD is a steal for 10$$ its the ultimate edition. Buy now! Was this review helpful?

Quite possibly one of the best movies ever made. "Is it dead?" Was this review helpful?

Boondock Saints would fall into roughly the same genre of great, un-holliwood type films like Snatch and Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. It has a dark sense of comedy with bizarre characters and a macabre sense of justice. If you like a film that entertains but isn't run of the mill, something out of the ordinary, then you will not want to miss this! It is out there, and brilliant! Lots of guns too! Guy Ritchie combined with Quentin Tarentino. What happens when two good guys with a lot of guns meet up against another good guy with a lot more guns. Was this review helpful?
