 Editor's Note
Marcus Graham (Eddie Murphy) is a successful young marketing executive who has never lacked for attention from women. The cocky ladies' man views each new conquest as another notch on the holster of his oversized ego. But one day the tables are turned, and he falls for a high-powered female executive who treats him the same way he's been treating women for the last 15 years. Marcus realizes that it's not so fun to be on the other side of objectification and rejection, and he soon finds himself becoming a quivering bundle of insecurities. The question is whether he will learn enough from the experience to see that true love has been right under his nose all along.

| | Professional Reviews | Entertainment Weekly "...[Givens and Berry] bring out Murphy's silky best..." -- Rating: B 10/22/1999 pp.92-3USA Today "...Substantial roles for attractive actresses of every age and image..." 07/01/1992 p.7D Entertainment Weekly "...The movie has a bright, candy-colored look and a nudge-nudge eroticism that recall the ingeniously fluffy sex comedies of the '50s..." 07/10/1992 p.40-1 Chicago Sun-Times "...It shows a kinder, gentler, funnier Eddie Murphy than we've seen in recent years -- a comic actor who can go for little laughs as well as the big ones, and build a character at the same time..." 07/01/1992 p.39 Chicago Sun-Times 7 of 10 ...the real surprise of the movie is Eddie Murphy, who finds his character and stays with him. The plot of Boomerang reminded me most of those tables-are-turned 1950s executive suite comedies that used to star people like Rosalind Russell. To work, they needed a mastery of light comedy, and Murphy has it here. Whatever he was thinking during the dark days of his career slump, it seems to have paid off handsomely. - Roger Ebert

5 of 5 A HILARIOUS ROLLERCOASTER Saturday, March 01, 2008 mranthonysharp from Los Angeles, CA
This movie has loads of laughter, some tears, and thought provoking moments. Eddie Murphy, David Alan Grier, Martin Lawrence, Halle Berry, Tisha Campbell, Robin Givens, Chris Rock, Eartha Kitt, Grace Jones, and more. What additional actors do you need? Oh, I am sorry, John Witherspoon. If those names are not enough to get you to pick up a copy of this movie, I don't know what else to tell you. Boomerang will be hitting you so many different emotions and thoughts from beginning to end. ENJOY Was this review helpful?
