4 of 5 Great fun Wednesday, March 04, 2009 Danny from AUST
I bought it approx 12months ago for my nearly 7 year old. He has had (including others) hours and hours of enjoyment on a lake near us. We are only now needing to replace the battery pack. There's no doubt that it's been value for money on our behalf and he has had no trouble in looking after the toy. Well done! Great concept and not complicated for kids. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 I Love it!! Saturday, December 06, 2008 ken from Virginia
This item is quite neat. Moves fast and very interesting to see the figure move on the surf board whenever you change directions. On the box it says 8+. The age should be higher, due to having to use tools to put the battery in and maintance and care. Thing is great and i dont usually buy Radio Controls from Toy stores. I'm a hobby store man. This one was worth the money. Was this review helpful?

1 of 5 Broke before it hit the water Saturday, December 06, 2008 bryan from ny
I waityed 5 hours to charge it, pluged it in, test the surfers turning, it just snapped and broke. Great concept, cheaply made. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 What a great beach toy! Saturday, December 06, 2008 Donna from Philadelphia
We watched another boy with the surfer on the beach a couple weeks ago. My grandson couldn't wait to get one of his own. We do have to be careful that it doesn't get lost in the ocean. Was this review helpful?
1 of 5 Amazingly exciting, realistic & completely fun! Saturday, December 06, 2008 Dennis from Houston & Galveston, Texas & California
I had actually never even heard of, nor seen one before, until just this morning, while riding my bicycle down the seawall here on Galveston Island, I saw a grown man out in knee-deep water, here in the 2 foot shorebreak surf of Galveston, TX, operating his R/C Board Shark, surfer model in choppy, disorganized 1- 2 foot waves & I was amazed at the speed, precise timing & control of this amazingly phenomenal remote control, interactive toy. On 1st sight, I swear I thought I was witnessing an actual shrunken surfer, getting some incredible rides & pulling off some mind blowing manuevers on the tiny waves, which were 2-3 time his height! The surfer's body parts actually move in a realistic way, just like a real surfer's would, when doing any sort of turn, including hairpin cutbacks in critical sections of the waves, deep fading bottom turns, flowing "S" turns & even pulling off frequent airs (aerials). But most amazingly, the R/C appeared to have a range of up to 200 ft. from it's controller & the little surfer, would quickly right himself back up on his board, after every wipeout! I was so spellbound by the vicarious fun I was having as I watched, I had to roll up my pants legs & wade out in the surf, to find out more about this hot new "toy" from it's owner. He said he bought his in Long Beach, Ca., but now, after seeing his in action (& having it nearly blow my mind!), getting one for myself is now high on my priority desires list! You've really got to see one in action to believe it's precision performance abilities!... It's definitely the most phenomenal interactive, skill honing, adrenalating remote control "toy" (for adults as much, or even more so, than for just kids alone!) that I've encountered yet! 1 of 5 Fantastic Saturday, December 06, 2008 Tim from Birmingham, Al
Hey this thing out of the box is great! I took it to Galveston, TX and had a blast on ankle slapper waves. Some times it does tip over and stay for a while, but it hasn't remained tipped over indefinitely. This surfer dude for the price is very capable and is a great platform for upgrades Was this review helpful?

My kids don't get to play with this much because they can't get it away from me. Was this review helpful?
1 of 1 customers found this review helpful. 1 of 5 Don't Bother Piece of Junk Monday, January 21, 2008 A Customer from Los Osos, CA
This is the 2nd one of these I have had. The first one worked fine the first time I took it out then the second time I took it out I lost control I it was lost at sea. The second one didn't last a whole session before it lost control. I took it to a RC Shop & they couldn't fix it because it's so poorly made. No wonder they don't manufacture them anymore!
I want my money BACK! Was this review helpful?
