4 of 5 Good performance for the price Tuesday, June 03, 2008 M. Krone from Sherman Oaks, CA
The good: Set up and pairing is very easy. Thin over-ear piece is comfortable with glasses. Decent sound quality and volume controls. Callers advise that noise cancellation is big improvement. (I can drive with the windows down and still carry on a conversation.)
The bad: Battery life is two days of light use. Button controls and confirmation tones are not very intuitive. E.g., "redial" and "end call" should be one click actions, not 3-second press & hold actions. Last, BlueAnt has not created firmware upgrade instructions for Vista (but the upgrade instructions for XP are fine).
Overall: I am still glad I bought it. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 easy to use Sunday, May 25, 2008 Impressed from maryland
I found the BlueAnt Z9 Bluetooth Headset easy to sync with my Verizon phone, easy to use, and it works great. Occasionally the other party has trouble hearing me but overall it works great. Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 BlueAnt Z9 Saturday, May 24, 2008 A Customer from Marion, IL
I am not very pleased with this bluetooth. It hurts my ear after having it on for awhile. I tried talking to someone at the office with another person conferenced in, but she couldn't hardly hear because of the background noise on my end and I couldn't hardly hear the conferenced in person. If you are in a vehicle where it is quiet, it works fine. Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 Good looking, not so good features Tuesday, May 20, 2008 M from Astoria, NY
Voice isolation doesn't work, I get complains from other end about static-like-noise in normal windy environment. Ear bud is not that comfortable. Multi-devices pairing is nice. Lucrative 2 years warranty. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Not bad...not bad! Thursday, May 01, 2008 Thad Decker from Virginia
I use an HTC PPC-6800 through Alltel communications and have had difficulty finding a bluetooth headset that works well and doesn't conflict with the phone. I have now found one and I am very happy.
I started using the BlueAnt Z9 several weeks ago and want to report that the voice isolation quality is great. I called a friend and talked to them for about 15 minutes and then asked if he could tell I was on an earpiece and he replied no...I then turned on the stereo in my car and he didn't even notice or hear it at all! I was able to talk to him and he heard every word crystal clear. When there are surrounding voices that are close to you, however, they are picked up although very lightly. The buttons are a little bit of a pain to get used to, but if you remember to have your handy dandy reference card nearby, it isn't too bad.
I really only have one complaint...it is too heavy. The weight doesn't cause too many problems until you are wearing it for an extended period of time. I wear mine mainly when driving and I normally drive for 4 hours twice a week between my home and DC. That becomes too much for my ear canal to take and by the end of it I have to rub my ear for a long time to relax. :-0
All in all, great though. Definitely a good buy! Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 It works ok Monday, March 24, 2008 A Customer from Chicago, IL
It has a nice secure fit to the ear, and is loud enough to hear in most noise areas. The trouble it has is people I talk to here a buzzing noise, or don't hear what I am saying to them. Was this review helpful?

I am no expert, but i shopped a little before settling on this one. It's comfortable (without using the ear wrap thingie), and sounds great. I get a few "what's" or "Huh"s on the other end which tells me it may not sound quite as good as talking directly into the phone, but that's okay. They seem to be able to hear well enough. As for the function / ease of use - I think others I've owned are simpler. The fact that you have to hold in the button for 3 seconds to drop a call is a pain. I also think it's a little too easy to go to Max Isolation mode... I seem to do that by accident a lot. Otherwise, it's a great unit - and one i'd highly recommend. PS, I use mine with a Blackberry Curve. Was this review helpful?

This is the second BlueAnt Wireless product I have. The first being the BlueAnt X5. This is by far better than the two Plantronics 3xx models I had. The noise-cancellation and DSP is excellent. I upgraded the firmware using the usb cable and love its ability to constantly upgrade the firmware with new updates.
Plantronics did not have the option and I feel became obsolete pretty quickly. Definitely try it out.
I have it paired with my BlackBerry 8800. Was this review helpful?

The BlueAnt Z9 Bluetooth Headset is by far the most comfortable I have ever worn. The sound quality, even in a noisy environment like an airport, is clear. It is nice to have a conversation and be able to hear the other end without a constant 'please repeat that" or "what did you say". Well worth the investment in achieving a 'good sound' business call!
