4 of 5 Very nice, but large Thursday, October 30, 2008 Spada from Burlingame, ca
I purchased this headset for my wife as she wanted something "not silver and black". We had looked at a lot of other headsets and a review said that not only was the headset full featured (as it is) but also geared towards a womans smaller features. My wife loves the ease in which the device works, and loves the hot pink color. However, the device's ear bud is just a little to large for her ear channel and she has some trouble wearing it for extended periods of time. If we had to do it agian, I would just make her get something in silver and black that had a smaller ear bud that would fit her ear channel better. Otherwise this is a great headset. 5 of 5 Buy a BlueAnt Thursday, October 19, 2006 A Customer from Athens, GA
I don't think the range is quite 30 feet and the battery doesn't last as long as I thought it would, but overall, I'm satisfied. It is cute, easy to use, and does the job. Some callers can tell I am using a bluetooth device rather than my phone and sometimes there is an echo. However, none of these negative remarks would stop me from recommending it to anyone. I decided to try Blue Ant because my Motorola Bluetooth product failed for a second time, and Blue Ant got a good review in PC Magazine. My 6 month old Moto HS 850 has gone into a mode of cycling on and off endlessly. This is my sceond failure with an HS 850. The HS 850 seems to not be very rugged.
Equally important was that I was also not satisfed with the maximum volume of the HS 850. The Blue Ant product has solved that problem. It has plenty of volume. Unfortunately, the microphone appears to be more sensitive to background noise. I use it primarily when driving between home and office in my convertible. It is unusable on the freeway.
I like the way Blue Ant operates with my Treo 650 better than the way the HS 850 operates. The Blue Ant product picks up automatically. I had to take a hand off the wheel and push the button on the Moto product before it would switch to the earbud when placing a call. Overall, I would rate the Blue Ant product as a 4.5.
