5 of 5 Good Product Wednesday, September 16, 2009
A Customer from San Antonio, TX

I like this product a lot, and am glad I bought it. Battery life is much longer than BT ear pieces, and it has paired with my phone everytime (and tells you that it did) without having to do anything. You do need to keep the unit close to your mouth - say 2 feet - definitely driver-side visor. After the 2 feet, your callers "complain" about hearing you. The magnet is mostly a good thing - makes it easy to remove to charge, continue call from car to office/home, toss the thing in second car, etc. - but I have accidentally knocked it down once like other people have said. Charging is mini-usb, so I use the same car-charger as my cell phones.

5 of 5 Works well Saturday, May 09, 2009
A Customer from San Diego, CA
I had heard this was the hands-free set to get and I'm glad I did. The best feature of the S3 is its ability to auto-reconnect when you get back in your car. This makes it almost as good as an installed bluetooth hands-free. If you include the portability, maybe better.

4 of 5 NIce but still room for improvement Monday, May 04, 2009
JCK from Houston
Great product. Clear, easy to use, MUCH BETTER than speaker on phone. My Blackberry Bold is not a speakphone. Do not try to use the feature in a car or other simular enviroment. Blueant works very well as a speakerphone, but is still short of what is needed for compelte hands free business calls. I am happy with the device as is, but it still leaves room for improvement.

4 of 5 Good product with one severe flaw. Sunday, April 12, 2009
Bob from Douglassville, PA
First, I'm using the BT3 with an iPhone 3G, and it paired easily and works reliably. Many people are concerned about that, so here's a data point on that. The BlueAnt ST3 gives great in-car audio, though it's a bit bright/tinny. The unit's mic & processing is decent, but no one will mistake you for being in a quiet office when you call. I started using this unit after having a Jawbone with a custom earpiece for several years, and for in-car use I find the audio of similar quality, with much greater convenience. The feature where the unit will go idle after losing the BT connection to your phone and wait until it senses vibration from a closing car door to come out of standby works very well and is just as convenient as a built-in system. The clip for the visor that the unit attaches to by magnet has a depression for the ST3 on each side so you can easily move the ST3 to still face you if you flip the visor down. Battery life is excellent. I charged the unit fully the day I got it (around 3/25 or 3/26/09) and as of today (4/12/09) it hasn't indicated a low battery yet. I don't use it extensively, typically paired for 1-3 hours a day and talk time in the range of 10 minutes a day, but for me that means it has enough juice to last weeks. My only gripe with the unit was mentioned by another reviewer and I just confirmed the behavior on my unit. If a call comes in with a blocked CallerID, the unit gives NO indication at all that a call is waiting! Since it can't speak the caller name, it stays totally mum, not even giving a ring sound! My colleagues and I all block CallerID on our cell phones as we are consultants and it would kill us to have customers know our cell numbers. This flaw isn't fatal with the iPhone as the iPhone plays its normal ring-tone on an incoming call when using a BT device, but I've had other phones that don't ring on the unit when BT is active. When the iPhone rings, hitting the green "answer" button still accepts the call. I recommend those looking to purchase make sure their phone will still ring when BT paired, or else you might miss calls from blocked numbers! Other than that, I am very pleased with the ST3. The audio quality isn't perfect, but it's very good and much more pleasant to use than a BT earpiece when driving.

5 of 5 Best one I've tried thus far Sunday, January 11, 2009
A Customer from Portland, OR
I did a lot of research before settling on this product. BlueAnt has another, older version of this which sounds like it works well, but this one has some upgraded features. Such as announcing the name of the caller (if you upload your phonebook into it). With the Centro, it takes some fiddling, and it turns out you can only add the ENTIRE phonebook at once. Sounds like yet another problem with how Palm implements its bluetooth. If you search the internet for more involved reviews, most reviewers are very happy with its performance. One review I found was disappointed that there was no voice-activated hang up feature. For many technical and logistical reasons, that is the silliest request I could imagine. The sound quality is pretty good, and you can get the volume to go pretty high. The microphone tends to be pretty good from what my callers tell me. My car tends to get pretty noisy when it gets to highway speeds--I don't have to yell, but I certainly need to speak up. I don't think it would do very well with windows down or the radio on. The battery life is great though. Probably lasts me several weeks at least. I don't talk that much with it, but at least I'm not recharging every other day.

5 of 5 Best Bluetooth Speaker Car Accessory Wednesday, November 19, 2008
Venkat from Fremont, CA
I bought this item for my brother to use it as Bluetooth Audio device for his car. He is pretty happy with this item so far and provided 5 star rating to me. So I am extremely with his feedback. Sound and Clarity is Awesome as it is working great on Indian roads where noise is everything.

5 of 5 Very easy to use hands-free speaker phone Sunday, October 26, 2008
bburleyone from Garland, Texas
This device is exactly what I was looking for. It gives verbal recognition for all calls, allows you to answer, then gives quality sound through its speakers. It automatical downloads you phonebook including 'voice dialing' then tells you who's calling when a call comes in. No more earbuds that fall out or cause disconfort to my ear canal.

5 of 5 BlueAnt Hands free Tuesday, October 21, 2008
john from Depew, Ny
I have had this item for about a year now, works excellent. I use it with my Palm Centro. The voice clarity in and out is great. Just read the instructions to get it to work properly. I see some other reviewers are getting feed back. This is because they do not have it on the correct settings, Phone/with the bluetooth. I had similar problems but not any more. One thing to watch for is if you leave it on and leave the car. If you are in close range the blueAnt is the priority so you cannot hear through your phone unless you disable the speaker. Just shut the blueAnt off befor leaving the vehicle. The reason I gave it 4 for ease of use. I cannot seem to get my wife's phone hooked up. Although it shows the bluetooth it will not let her take a call with it?? I have to work on that, otherwise for my phone only it works like a charm.

5 of 5 So good I bought two Monday, October 06, 2008
A Customer from El Dorado Hills, CA
Just bought a second one for the wife, I've been using mine for about two months now. Works every time all the time, audio is loud and clear and the other end always reports loud and clear on the Supertooth 3's microphone. Battery lasts about 3-4 weeks between charges, handy car charger eliminates taking it in the house. My wife's T-Mobile SDA and my Blackberry Curve 8320 are both paired to both devices, so when we ride in each other's vehicles we can each access the hands-free. Highly recommended.

4 of 5 Easy to use Bluetooth speaker- like having a new c Sunday, October 05, 2008
LGCohen from Cranford, NJ
This is very easy to use and to set up- however, it would not transfer the names in my address book. I have tried a few times. I bought another for a family member and wasn't able to transfer her phone book either. She has a new phone. I am not sure if it is because of my phone or the BlueAnt product. I will get a new phone this month and find out.

4 of 5 Great device. Monday, September 29, 2008
A Customer from Whittier, Ca.
This speakerphone was VERY easy to set up. My wife is using it. She wanted it because Calif. has a hands free law and she does not like to put anything into her ear. The sound quality is great, however, on the receiving end, it is sometimes hard to understand her, however I don't know if she has her window down causing more background noise. Overall great speakerphone.

3 of 5 A Bit Over Rated Thursday, September 25, 2008
A Customer from Waitsfield, VT
I bought this for my husband, who has an unlocked HTC TyTn II (similiar to ATT Tilt). Unfortunately, while listed as compatible, it required him to manual enter every contact that he wanted the bluetooth to recognize. In addition, the sound quality is "just" ok.

4 of 5 Not quite as good as factory installed, but not b Monday, September 22, 2008
Karina from Irvine, CA
I have been using this BlueAnt model for about 2 months now with my BlackBerry Pearl and I am fairly satisfied with the product. Our newer car had the wireless phone feature installed when we purchased it and I wanted the same feature with my mini-van. I don't care for earpiece devices, so that wasn't an option for me. The quality of sound is a bit better than good, but as expected, not as good as our factory installed wireless device. As other reviewers have mentioned, the battery life is excellent; however, I wish there was an indicator to tell the user in advance about how much life is left before the battery life expires. Only one of my friends has complained about the echo on her end of the conversation, but I will try to adjust the volume on my cell phone as another reviewer has suggested. Sometimes the voicedial does not work very well where I'll call out the name I need repeatedly only to result in a misdialed number, or non-recognition. I end up having to dial the number I need on the phone, which kind of eliminates the convenience of "hands free". I only gave the device a 3 for "ease of use" as I had to literally read the manual word for word to make it work. Usually electronic devices are pretty intuitive when reading a digital screen, but without one, reading the manual is a must to avoid complications. BlueAnt stored all of my phonebook numbers without a problem. The device offers different languages... wish I could speak French, it sounded so pretty as an option! The American-English option is awful. It sounds so robotic and harsh to the ear. I ended up changing to British-English which has a nicer, more fluid tone. My family laughs when BlueAnt announces "Connected to phone" like Queen Elizabeth is greeting me! Which reminds me, BlueAnt recognizes and connects to my phone very well. So well, in fact, that when I'm in the house my phone may still be connected to BlueAnt. I discovered this when I tried answering my phone at home and after unsuccessul attempts to communicate with the caller I realized it was connected to the speaker 50 feet away! I only gave it a 3 on value because when I purchased BlueAnt 2 months ago I paid $12 more (Ah, technology!) I would recommend this product to others.

5 of 5 Love my BlueAnt! Thursday, September 18, 2008
A Customer from Laguna Niguel, CA
I've been using my BlueAnt for over a month and can't imagine going back to a headset. I am using mine with an iPhone 3G. It works great both for calls and listing to voicemail. When I get into my car the BlueAnt automatically "wakes up" and greets me with a very nice voice, "connected to phone." When the battery is low, BlueAnt will tell you. Charging is quick and easy. The battery life is excellent. I have also heard this from two of my friends who have the BlueAnt. I have my BlueAnt clipped to my sun visor. The magnetic connection makes it really easy to remove. This is a very cool feature. Also, since it is on my sun visor it is out of the way and unnoticed by others. As for the echo mentioned by another reviewer, I have experienced this on rare occasion, but I believe it is more to do with the quality of the cell connection than the BlueAnt. I am very satisfied with the audio quality and would not hesitate to buy a second BlueAnt. It is really the closest to having built in hands free!

2 of 5 Not too impressed Thursday, September 18, 2008
A Customer from Red Bud, IL
I purchased this due to good reviews. Connects quickly and effortlessly to my Blackberry 8330 Curve. Speaker is good quality. Party on the other end of the conversation said it sounded like they were talking in a tunnel. Called BlueAnt customer service and determined that the volume on the phone was turned all the way up along with the speaker unit therefore causing feedback. Seemed to resolve that issue a bit but also have an issue with my voice sounding digitized when spoken into. I'm still messing with the settings to see if it is worth the purchase.

1 of 5 Not impressed at all. Monday, September 15, 2008
A Customer from Grand Rapids Michigan
The overall of it is good but no one can hear me. The ad says you can have the window down. I don't think so after repeating myself 100 times I closed it. I still have it in my truck but am back to using my 2nd generation Jawbone because it works way better. I wanted the BlueAnt so I did not have to have anything in my ear. So overall I am not happy with this item. I can hear people but they cannot hear me.

5 of 5 THE ANT DOES THE JOB Wednesday, September 10, 2008
neilnsa from Mill Neck, New York
Suprisingly this inexpensive hands free device works well even in my convertiable. My wife who has very sensitive hearing and she doesn't even realize it is a hand free device. The 800 hour stand by time is great not having to think about charging it everyday like your cellphone. the text to speech feature is outstanding, it greets me everytime I get in the car, which let's me know it is working.

5 of 5 Solid product Wednesday, September 03, 2008
RGS from Virginia
The only thing that would make this bluetooth speakerphone better would be voice dialing (for now, have your phone handle that task. Voice clarity is clear. Speaker volume great. I downloaded my contacts (my GoodLink enabled HTC Tilt did not download automatically) and it announced the incoming callers. Add to that some very impressive battery life and those BlueAnt guys have a winner.

2 of 5 Echo echo echo Friday, August 29, 2008
A Customer from WA
Neet looking device and the audio from it is very good. The problem is the people on the other end tend to get an echo from themselves so the call quality on their end is bad since they hear an echo and me simultaneously making discussion difficult. I have to send this device back and will unfortunately be trying a headset.

2 of 5 Loud enough, won't answer without Caller ID ! Sunday, August 24, 2008
Robert from San Diego, CA
I heard so much good about Blueant that I also bought the motorcycle Interphone version. I really wanted and expected this Supertooth 3 to be great but overall I'm disappointed. First the good stuff: The speaker is loud, great battery life, mounts with a magnet (easy to remove), lighted pushbuttons for answer/hangup, voice answer & call announce. When you come back to your vehicle it reconnects to the phone when it detects a mild movement like closing your car door. Works most of the time. Rest of the time you can just push the green button and it'll reconnect. People I'm talking with say I sound great. They can hardly tell I'm on a speaker phone. When the person calling has Caller ID it will ring then say their name.....but read on for the gigantic asterisk on this feature. Now for the bad: The worst thing is that IT WON'T SAY ANYTHING OR EVEN RING IF THE PERSON CALLING HAS BLOCKED CALLER ID! No kidding. Your phone will ring but the Supertooth 3 sits fat, dumb and happy doing nothing. I confirmed this "undocumented feature" with Blueant customer service. Their response is "If the caller ID is withheld the Supertooth 3 has nothing to act upon because it needs either the caller name or number to announce the call." This is absolute BS. Every other bluetooth device including Blueant's own ST3 and Interphone (which I also have) will ring without caller ID present. What happened here is that they gave the Supertooth 3 the ability to announce the name or number of the caller, but in doing so they designed it to REQUIRE the name or number or else it won't ring. It should say, "Call from 'unknown' " or just at least ring but it doesn't. This is very bad, and an obvious bug. Imagine if your phone didn't ring just because there's no caller ID. I told customer service that the Bluetooth device should ring if the phone rings and they said they'd pass along my comments to the engineers. The unit is NOT firmware upgradable. When you hear your phone ring and the ST3 isn't responding to the call you can still pick up the call by pressing the green button, but I mean, c'mon. Less worse but still irks me: You're supposed to be able to answer the call by saying "Accept call" or "Answer" or one of a couple other words. This feature works maybe 3 out of 10 calls and I end up just pressing the button to answer. I speak very clear English and even in a quiet environment it doesn't really work that well.

4 of 5 Great product, but won't connect to phonebook in v Saturday, August 23, 2008
A Customer from Greeville, SC
This is a great product, it works just as its supposed to, and the call quality is almost as good as simply talking on the phone. However, I was on the phone with tech support (who speak perfect British English) for about an hour trying to figure out how to get the device to accept my phone book. I was using LG VX8550 (chocolate) from Verizon. The tech support guy told me that Verizon usually locks its phone so that it will only send things like the phonebook to Verizon supported devices. Because I couldn't get BlueAnt to accept my phonebook, when someone calls it announces the number instead of the name of the person calling - which is a little annoying. Then I actually have to look at my phone to see who it is. It is still pretty much entirely hands-free though - I just have to say "accept call" and it will pick up the phone.

5 of 5 Excellent product for the price Sunday, August 17, 2008
Mike from Leonardo, NJ
This is a great product and is simple to use. The only down side is I could not get my wife's phone book to down load into the device despite my best efforts however... not a big deal... she hardly uses the one in her own phone anyway!! :) I highly recommend this as a hands free device vs. an ear piece and despite any reviews you might have read... the speaker is MORE that loud enough and I have heard my wife call me on my cell phone, the house phone and call me at the office from this device and it has sounded crystal clear everytime.

5 of 5 Finally a Bluetooth accessory I love Saturday, August 16, 2008
Jonathan from Union County, NJ
After reading numerous user reviews on this product I decided to buy it. I love it! It downloaded my 380 contacts from my Blackberry w/o any problems. Speaker quality and sound is great, I don't even need to turn it up all the way. And I have not received any complains from the people on the other end. They say that they can hear me just fine although it is noticeable that I am using a speakerphone. What I love most about it is that it senses when I enter the car and connects automatically to my phone. The British accented voice is also very pleasing ;-) Battery life is also outstanding. I charge it once a week and have not yet received a low battery prompt. Even after hour long conversations more than once a week. I definitely recommend this product.

5 of 5 Excellent Speakerphone Saturday, August 16, 2008
Bob L from Santa Barbara, California
I owned a Jabra speakerphone but needed another for my wife's use. She didn't like the Jabra's ergonomics. Bought the Supertooth 3 based on reviews, and it really delivered. Set up is very easy, and the unit itself is easy to use. Controls are more distinct, and the voice feedback seals the deal. It's a little pricey, but highly recommended.

5 of 5 90% satisfied Monday, August 11, 2008
A Customer from Minneapolis, MN
Overall the Blueant Supertooth III was as advertised. The set up was very easy to walk through. The ST3 was able to download the phonebook from my Razr, however the blackberry's did not work. This was identified in their instruction manual, so not a surprise. The choice of languages was fun. As long as you choose British English. American English, I almost swerved off the road. very brash. The vibration sensor is great. The ST3 will go into sleep mode, and as soon as I open a vehicle door, trunk, etc, it will connect. The only down point, may be a misunderstanding. The ST3 will pair with up to 8 devices, however my understanding is it would pair with up to 8 at one time. So both wife and I could be in the car and connected. Maybe a hoop dream but would have been nice.
