 Editor's Note
East meets west in this medieval epic that reteams Tyrone Power and Orson Welles after they starred in PRINCE OF FOXES. Power (THE MARK OF ZORRO) plays Walter of Gurnie, a man exiled from England. Drawn to the exotic power of the East, Walter travels to China where he meets Bayan (Welles, CITIZEN KANE) who is on his way to see Kubla Khan. But it's his encounter with an English beauty called the Black Rose that brings more action to this adventure. Only Walter can save her from being forced into the arms of Kubla Khan and ensure she is able to go back to her home country.
