5 of 5 Portable AC power Thursday, June 19, 2008
munisco from Garfield, NJ

I wanted a way to extend the run time of my GPS for an application with no working cigarette lighter. The CP120B is small and not too heavy. I could plug the GPS power supply into the unit and power it from there. It gave me another 2 hours of run time, in addition to the 3 hours available with the GPS on-board battery. I had a total of 5 hours of run time.

5 of 5 The best ten bux I ever spent Wednesday, June 18, 2008
Wizard Prang from Louisville, KY
Four of us recently went on vacation. Between us we had three cellphones, three iPods and three PDAs. This little gadget came in very useful. I also ordered one for a Gadget-crazy uncle for a quick infusion of brownie points. Highly Recommended.

2 of 5 Not a good product Monday, June 09, 2008
A Customer from Pearl River, LA
Sorry, maybe I didn't read all the product description, but I thought this was a battery pack that would power 5V devices off a USB port. The inverter is only rated at 16watts and the voltage from the USB port will not power my iPhone because it is not within specs of the 5 volts the iPhone is looking for. Not sure at this point what the unit is good for.

4 of 5 good power supply on the go Monday, June 09, 2008
Emad from ATLANTA, GA
I bought this pocket power mainly for my cell phone and other portable devices. It works well with no problems and charges the cell phones and other small devices easily and effectively. It will not work for higher voltage and watt devices such as the laptop charger.it is not heavy and has a good built. overall very satisfied

5 of 5 Recharges my cell phone on the road Monday, June 09, 2008
Dan Somers from Westford, Massachusetts
This little battery pack with built-in inverter has enough juice to fully recharge my dead cell phone when I'm traveling. It's light enough to pack in my carry-on bag. I charge the battery pack before I leave on a trip, and use it at the airport when I can't find an AC receptacle.

4 of 5 Simple and inexpensive Monday, June 09, 2008
Louie G from New Bedford, MA
Handy little backup battery for little money. Nothing phenominally good nor bad. It does what it says. Only one gripe: I can't leave it charging while it is charging something else. I have to unplug it from it's charger then use it to charge my phone. The benefit of this device will be evident when you're away from any kind of power or if you forget one of your chargers. And because it provides a "wall-type" receptacle (limited to 16 watts), who knows what kind of pinch it can get you out of.

5 of 5 Sooooo handy Monday, June 09, 2008

This is one of the handiest little gizmos I have. Now now worries about low batteries and no way to charge them. Works great at an unbelievable price!

5 of 5 Good & Bad Points Sunday, June 08, 2008
Rickie OneArrow from Belmont, Mi
Well worth the $10 I paid for it, but not worth much more. I bought it for the USB power port and that worked flawlessly for it's intended purpose to power portable external USB hard drives. The 16 watt only, power inverter is worthless. The folks at B&D were sleeping at the switch on this feature.I gave it 5 stars based soley on the fact that it worked great for it's intended use, and I bought it cheaply.

4 of 5 Black & Decker CP120B 20 Watt Power Backup Battery Sunday, June 08, 2008
Norm T. from Boca Raton, Fl.
Works as described. I thought the unit would be smaller. You can carry it to charge your devices but it would be cumbersum. A spare battery for your device, phone, camera, etc., would be easier to carry.

5 of 5 Reliable backup power Sunday, June 08, 2008
A Customer from Fairfield, CT
It can almost fully charge my iPhone on a single charge, but only using the iPhone's power adapter plugged into the AC outlet (not the USB port).

4 of 5 Used only a few times, will know more when I go t Sunday, June 08, 2008
A Customer from Long Island, New York
The price seemed right ($10) and I have tried it a couple of times. It charges up my pocket PC quickly enough and got just slightly warm. I like that it can charge via either (or both at the same time) an ac line connection and a USB port. The plastic tab that covers the usb port will probably snap off in a couple of months, but that's ok. The unit has some weight and gets a little warm when discharging. I bought two for travel and general backup. So many devices charge via usb (cell phone, pocket PC, Palm, ipod) that it makes sense. Also in Europe, the wall to usb chargers take two to three times as long to charge a unit as a direct charger. As another reviewer wrote, it is only listed as 120V and so needs an adapter for overseas use.

We bought seven of these battery chargers, two for ourselves and the others for gifts. A great price for a great product. I would recommend this to friends.

4 of 5 Pretty useful Saturday, May 31, 2008
A Customer from NY, NY
Fully charges my Sandisk Sansa Express mp3 player from 0% to 100% (while playing) and still has plenty of juice left afterwards. It also gave me extra talk time once, when my cellphone battery corroded. Only downside is the charger for the CP120B only accepts 120 VAC, so you'll need a power inverter or a multi-voltage universal adapter when traveling out of the states (unless your destination has 120v outlets). Overall, it's a very handy accessory you can keep (charged) in your backpack, purse, or briefcase.

5 of 5 works well Thursday, May 22, 2008
A Customer from Baltimore, MD
Not as small as I had hoped, and not really pocket size, but works great on a plane or where ever you need portable USB or very small AC power. Keeps a MP3 player or video going on a long flight, camping, etc.

5 of 5 Not Perfect but Good for the Price Thursday, May 22, 2008
Bob from Waco, TX
These put out 16 watts "continuous" and 20 watts for only 3 minutes (according to the manual). I ran about 12 watts on one for 30 before the battery status light went to blinking red, and it went for 16 more minutes before shutting down from low voltage. By then the pack had warmed considerably. I let it cool and then got green status again, but I doubt it would last long for even low loads. I ran a 1 watt LED lamp on a fully charged unit and it didn't last 8 hours, so they're not super efficient. But for relatively short term use with loads under 16 watts, they can come in handy for travel or when you lose electrical power. Charging is supposed to take 8 hours but I found it varied a lot. When near full, the pack gets warm and that may hinder reaching full voltage shutoff. I found if you unplug and let the pack cool, then plugging in again will soon get a green (full) light.
