5 of 5 Great Value and Performance Monday, March 30, 2009 Jason from Atlanta, GA
This is my 7th pair of BIC In-Wall or Ceiling speakers. I set up my former home with 4 pairs, and have just installed the third pair in my current home. I prefer the M-80, but they were not available here. The bass performance seems to be slightly less on these, but with a 2" smaller speaker, this makes sense. As long as the EQ settings are not too bass heavy, this has not posed a problem. These speakers are great for moderate volume whole house audio and home theater surround. I believe that these speakers perform as well or better than many similarly constructed speakers, but at a fraction of the price. I will certainly utilize them in the future. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 These are great speakers Tuesday, May 27, 2008 A Customer from TX
If you are looking at high dollar in-walls, give these a try first. I don't think you will be disappointed. I have owned BIC speakers in the past with good results, so I thought I would give these a try as surround speakers in my home theater. The highs and mids are very good, which is what I wanted from these. The bass is about as good as you can expect from an in-wall, but I didn't buy these for the bass, that's what the sub-woofer is for. I have Boston T930II mains, a VR10 center, and two sets of BIC M-60s as surrounds/rear surrounds, all being driven by a Marantz SR8002. These BICs are right at home in my system.
Installation was a snap. My first speaker took me about 30 mintes to install, and the rest took about 15 minutes each. Running the wires is the most time consuming step, which is not included in those times. Do yourself a favor and buy a good drywall knife and a stud finder (with AC warning) to make the job easier.
