4 of 5FANTASTIC PRODUCT! (If the card hadn't have been d Monday, March 09, 2009 Calidius from Grand Rapids, MI
Pros: What can I say, this card is an amazing value for the price. With 240 Stream Processor's, 1GB of memory, and Nvidia's amazing driver support, you can't go wrong. It runs anything I throw at it full bore at 1680x1050. Crysis DX10 Highest possible settings everywhere, average 40FPS, drops to about 32FPS during some intense fight scenes. Frontlines Fuel of War, full settings, 53FPS average. Call of Duty 4, once agian max settings, 83FPS. Nothing this card can't handle. Also some people have mentioned heat being an issue, while it does get warm sometimes (63C under full load for me) this is WELL within specs at stock fan settings. If your card does run hot, just download a utility that lets you change your fan settings like Riva Tuner, and you should have no problems.
Cons: Not really a con since this is not Buy.com's fault, but I recieved my card damaged. The box was in perfect condition, but the card looked like it had been dropped as the metal fan grate (The one that lets out the air from the back of the computer and has the DVI toggles and such) was bent down like it had been dropped before it was boxed. Simply took some pliers and bent it back, card still works perfect. Power consumption was another worry for me, but turned out to be ok with my current power supply. I have an Ultra LS Series 600W power supply.
Overall: Fantastic card for the price. I would recconmend this product to any enthusist gamer looking for a moderately priced upgrade for their computer. I went from a Radeon 4850 1GB, and noticed alot of gain in all aspects of my gaming. Only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars is because it had been dropped.
